Ice rider coming 2009
Re: New Knight Rider commercial: valet
I also wonder if NBC will put one or two of the commercials on during the Superbowl. That'd be a great way to get some Mainstream attention on it and hopefully attact more viewers to the movie.

The Superbowl is airing on FOX; you won't see any Knight Rider commercials.

Re: New Knight Rider commercial: valet
Great job capturing that thing, thanks for that!
I really like this commercial. It shows that the series will also have it's brighter moments, which is important at a time where series always wants to be "dark" (which is good in some cases!).
I do like the variation of the Knight Rider theme right at the beginning very much!I'm looking forward to the version they will finally use in the intro of the pilot.

The beginning of that ad DEFINITELY sounds old school Knight Rider. Love it!

Great commercial! I'm hoping there'll be more of these brief comedic moments in the movie, and yeah, the music in the begining was definitely old skool KR sounding. I loved it.

Don't even think about it? How many times are we going to hear kitt use that phrase. Looks like to me they just used that phrase from the other clip. Cheapo! Otherwise that commerical brought back alot of memories.

Yep, that or something similar to it. Because, that is what I thought when I saw it on You Tube.KRAvengerII wrote:Gee, that sounds familiar- didn't I see that in the first season of the first series? I guess in 2008, everything old is new again.

Re: New Knight Rider commercial: valet
I think that's being a little hard on the producers. I think the commercial ideas they've come up with so far are pretty good; at least as good as they can possibly be with a stock-looking Mustang. I don't believe they ripped the idea off the original series; it's just that the series thought up so many conceivable quotes and situations it's very hard to not coincidentally come up with the same idea sometimes.KRAvengerII wrote:Gee, that sounds familiar- didn't I see that in the first season of the first series? Re: New Knight Rider commercial: valet
The scene did happen exactly that way in the old one, then KITT proceeded to get parked in by the angry valet. (Forget Me Not, I believe. This is scary that I know all these episodes by name now I'm spending too much time with you guys )
So I thought they did rip it off the original, but I don't think that's a reason to get mad, I liked it. I thought the whole anger on the board over everything they do is so that they stay as true to the original as possible.

Michael: "KITT! Where are ya?!"
K.I.T.T.: "I'm in your parking space, Michael, where else would I be?"

That was another one- the one i'm thinking of is the one with the state senator- i can't remember the title..
KITT: I walked right into that one, didn't I?
Michael: More like Turbo Boosted.

Re: New Knight Rider commercial: valet
Just saw the commercial myself on youtube and I must say i'm loving it. Yes, the scenario had been done before on the original KR show BUT I noticed a slight sneer to KITT's tone. It gives KITT an edge. I just hope they don't make him too snarky.

I hope the new KITT doesn't have as limited of a vocabulary as it seems from the previews.
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great!
