Promo KITT (knight of the phoenix) question
Somethings been bugging me about the promo-KITT and I cant quite but my finger on it. This is the very first KITT we ever see and has the tiny LED scanner right at the front of the nose.
How is that nose constructed. Is it the original firebird nose with a blackout panels near the front indicators? I doubt it is as the nose would look too short. It cant really be the length of the later nose-sections as it would be too long....whats everyone think?

It's interesting how the extended hood goes on top of the nose even it's raised because of the scanner.
I have a pic taken years ago from ebay about stock TA with blackouts over the indicators and comparing Pilot KITT's nose to that makes me wonder if the pilot KITT's nose or the hood was altered even further than what's visible at first.

Intriguing.... I always liked the really clean promo-KITT. If someone was to do a KITT conversion it doesn't look like much exterior work to do.
Strangly don't think I have ever seen a conversion of the very first KITT?
