Acura is the only one suitable for K.I.T.T. ;-) I hope K.I.T.T. will be Acura.

EDIT: I like Camaro too, but as i understand it's not available because of the Transformers movie.

There you go.
Awesome picture there - that gets my thumbs up! Sleek and futuristic and NOT a Mustang! P.E.R.F.E.C.T!

I wish KITT could be the Camaro or Corvette. They both have sleek body lines and a badass look as well as an easy way to integrate the scanner. Just imagine it:

No offense, you did a great job on the editing of the picture, but in my opinion there is nothing they could do to that car to make it look good as KITT.

LOL  YEAH I HEAR YA... THIS IS THE ONLY WAY I CAN SEE THE MUSTANG PULL OF THE KITT LOOK, I'D MUCH RATHER IT BE A NEW CAMARO OR TRANS-AM, OR A ONE-OFF CUSTOM, BUT SINCE THERE IN THE MOOD TO JACK-OFF GREAT IDEAS FROM THE PAST. IT'LL PROBABLY LOOK JUST LIKE THAT PIC WITH THE STRIPES AND ALL... THAT WILL BE TOTALLY GAY, AND THEN HAVE SOME ONE OTHER THAN WILLIAM DANIELS AS KITTS VOICE.
NICE ONE!

I'D MUCH RATHER SEE KITT LOOK MORE LIKE THIS... IT REMINDS ME OF KITT MORE....

Cool animation with the Mustang but your KITT Camero Concept has got to be one the sweetest I've seen. :D

Yes the camaro concept is great and would have worked wonderful for this show if they had to use a retro styled muscle car.

Well, since this whole production was inspired by the Transformers film, even if NBC Universal were able to acquire the rights, perhaps they'd want to avoid a backlash of criticism of being a blatant rip-off of the movie.

The problem with the new K.I.T.T. is that NBC has to sell the concept to us as the fans and everybody else who haven't even heard about KR. To us the only K.I.T.T. is the black trans-am voiced by William Daniels and everything less is something we can't accept :). Now when trying to be appealing to new audience they need to make the new K.I.T.T. cool compared to today's cars. I think they could have gone with many different choices as the base car but I think by going with the Ford Mustang (a legendary american muscle car - at least the old models) they are trying to acknowledge the fans' needs. Personally they could have chosen better but if they mod the car as good as they did back in the day then I'm sure we'll be quite pleased. As for the voice...It will never be William Daniels but some new unknown dude and hopefully he can do what Williams did and that is give the car it's soul and personality.

As I see the situation, we should just stop speculating too much and wait patiently and see if NBC can accomplish the near impossible task and bring back the Knight Rider that pleases the fans and everybody else who I think they are trying to sell the show more.

So what would be your choice in the new kitt? And don't say an 82 transam unfortunatly it looks like we aren't going to get it on either project.

I thought Rob Louisell was contracted by Barris to make parts for an 82 trans am cameo in the nbc show, or did I read something wrong?

Unfortunatly Universal is trying to keep everything under wraps. It does appear that Rob Louisell and George Barris are involved to what end I don't know. I can't wait for more pictures to be leaked out. I think we need to be patient I'am sure we will get the answers we all want soon.
