Well, the guy certainly looks like he could be related to David Hasselhoff. It's strange that he has very similar circumstances that The Hoff had during his career, too. I'm still optimistic that Hasselhoff will make some sort of cameo, despite the comment in the article. If he doesn't make it to the TV movie, I'm sure he'd eventually show up if there is a series.

Perhaps this means He is not coming in for a cameo but perhaps a larger role. Like taking over for Devon as Michael. Now that his son is in it Hmmm. Could this be David's idea battling Larson's idea? By the way Michael Knight's son wasn't listed as a character on that script that leaked unless the son's name is Mike Tracer. Perhaps that script is a bunch of balogna. Or maybe when they found out David was willing to be in it they did a complete rewrite. Only time will tell for sure.

Last month, Hasselhoff was upset after failing to land a cameo in the two-hour adaptation - but insisted fans would "demand" he appear on the big screen.

He tells website Moviehole.net, "I think fans will demand that I at least pop up in a cameo. I made the show and fans deserve it."

The Knight Rider movie is slated for release next year.

I think that last one is confused. I thought Hasselhoff was talking about the Film from Larson, not the NBCU movie.

This is all going to be easily confusing.

Ain't It Cool state that Michael Knight does show up... Hasselhoff claimed recently we'll be seeing him in "a little show called Knight Rider"...

All sounds very exciting!

I LOVE how TV Guide wrote this up...so many weird connections...

New Knight Rider Driven by Soap Stud

Stick with me here. Former The Young and the Restless heartthrob David Hasselhoff played Michael Knight in the original Knight Rider series. Now, former All My Children heartthrob Justin Bruening — who on his ABC sudser played son to Emmy-winner Michael E. Knight — has been tapped to play the son of Michael Knight in a TV-movie that will serve as a backdoor pilot to a possible Knight Rider reboot.

Let me throw you one more nugget: Another onetime AMC cast mate of Bruening's is Las Vegas' Josh Duhamel, who this summer starred in Transformers — and the new Knight Rider will feature a Transformers-like, shapeshifting K.I.T.T.

The reports aren't really that conflicting if you keep them in correct context. Its the fact that there are two different versions of Knight Rider that is confusing the uninformed.

Aint it Cool News mentions Michael Knight's part as kind of open ended. That sounds like it sets him up for possible appearances in the show based on availablity of David Hasselhoff through the success or failure of Tales From the Hoff.

Didn't one of Hasselhoff's ex-wives marry a Michael E. Knight? Wonder if that has any connection?

Here's the article from today's Hollywood Reporter. It was on Page 2; pretty good placement.

Um, maybe D. Hasselhoff himself can give Justin Bruening tips on how to make talking to a car on the updated "Knight Rider" pilot believable.
Just a thought from me.........

He actually looks "believable" as Michael Knight's son! Well, so relieved that this guy got the part and not some guy who has no resemblance to the Hoff at all. Seems to be a lot more news to this pilot coming out than any to the Larson movie project... 8)

Unless you mean in print Scott, you're highly mistaken about no information coming out about Larson's Knight Rider feature film. I've been posting quite a bit about it over various forums.

Hey VK, I never said there was "no" information on the new Larson movie. In fact I did see the video of Larson speaking on behalf of the film project, AND I read all your comments about it on various forums. All I meant was here LATELY all the news has been about the production of the pilot and not about the movie. If you do have anything new to share I would love to hear about it, since you are one of the biggest sources of news around here on the Larson project. Thank you... 8)

From the looks of him, they could have chose someone a whole lot more worse. I think he looks a bit like Ben Affleck, I remember some fans wanting to see Affleck in the movie.

I agree that they should have gone with someone a bit more rugged but in character, they may make him look that way.

We'll see.
