The Vette is a nice looking car, but I think the scanner is too small on it. It looks like KITT's holding his nose, if that makes any sense.

Agreed. I also think the front of the new 'Vette looks like a bug and that the body changes to this generation aren't a big enough difference from the previous generation. I guess the designer was playing it safe, since his previous work included designing the Pontiac Aztec.

I think it looks great, but with a bigger scanner it looks even better:
I modified this Corvette some weeks ago.

All they would have to do is change the front end. Like they did on the old kitt.

What everyone says is exactly what I mean, just make the front a tiny bit more angular and more KITT looking with a bigger scanner and were all set!

What else would you suggest that looks very similar to the 3rdgen Firebird that we all loved?? I can not think of any other American Sportscar ... and please do not take any Nissan, Toyota or something.

Yeah, lots of threads have that conversation, even threads that didn't originally start talking about it. It's pretty much all over the forums.

He was originally supposed to be one...
Michael: "KITT! Where are ya?!"
K.I.T.T.: "I'm in your parking space, Michael, where else would I be?"

Where did it ever say KITT was supposed to be a vette? As far as I know Glen went directly to Pontiac and no one else to find a car for KITT and they signed a contract about a day later. Pontiac gave Glen the first five cars off the production line as well as a couple damaged ones they couldn't sell in a showroom for various reasons.
I have to say in my opinion KITT should never be a vette either. It has the length but the raised bumps around the front wheel wells just look tacky and it ruins the visual smoothness of the lines the Trans Am had. It's also too low to the ground.

So what car should KITT be? If somebody says it does not look good, what looks better? I did a lot of research comparing the 3rdgen Trans Am with new cars ... I am open for any car ... but in past the lines of the Corvette came for me closest to KITT.

The Acura Sports Concept looks really cool.
It is a street car, no super-sport-car and it has some similiarities to a trans-am. And it looks futuristic enough to be a special car, better than the Team Knight Rider standard cars.
Could someone do a photoshop-modification on this picture?
