KITT SPOTTED IN SINGAPORE!!!!!

Post by imranbecks » Mon Aug 13, 2007 10:19 am

Boy was I shocked when my sister told me that she saw KITT in a parking lot at the airport right here where I stay, in Singapore yesterday!!!!! Luckily she had her camera with her.... The car appears to be a custom made replica of KITT complete with scanner in front and the custom nose! I thought these customs weren't allowed in Singapore?? I know there are many replica KITT owners particularly in the US and UK..... But I did not even know a KITT replica existed right here in Singapore since conversion of vehicles is not allowed.. How did the owner convert his car to look like the 1982 Pontiac Trans Am which was the model of the car used in Knight Rider since Pontiac is not even available in Singapore??? If thats the case, what car model did he use to convert it this way??? The conversion is not perfect as it does not have the same wheels as KITT and it doesn't have the computer dashboard interior, but its damn good enough for a Singapore Knight Rider fan!!!! He is perhaps the only one in Singapore with a 1:1 scale of a drivable KITT!! Now all i have to do is find the owner of the car....

That looks like a Nissan 240sx. Known in Asia as the Nissan 180sx. Or the coupe version is called the Nissan Silvia. My god. That is friggen nice.

The nose is pitched too far down, it looks out of place.

Unfortunately she didn't get any rear pics... Would want to check out how he did the tail lights as well... She was in a car while she took the pics.. She didn't get off for a closer look..

Chances are it might just be a regular Nissan 180sx tail light panel.

I'd like to know how he got the cowl induction hood on there. Not to mention his own custom nose.

That's most likely an added Fiberglass Cowl. There's a guy in the UK making the Cowl as an addition to a Flat Firebird Hood.

The Nose looks like a regular fiberglass piece that he attached to the front end. The nose looks like it was slightly modified to fit.

I say he did a nice job. But however, you wouldn't catch me driving that.
