Knight Rider on Mythbusters

Post by rusti_knight » Wed May 30, 2007 9:52 pm

Next week's episode of Mythbusters is covering some Knight Rider stunts. Just a heads up!

They're on the Discovery channel on Wednesday nights at 8 central.

I posted a myth on their website several months ago. I had asked if it was possible to have a fully-operational Turbo Boost using compressed air. I don't think that will be tested, though.

That's really cool about mythbusters, it's a great show and I can't believe they're doing Knight Rider stuff!

I just saw the teaser for next week's episode. It just looks like the only Knight Rider-related myth is driving into the trailer of a semi. I'm looking forward to seeing the episode, but I really don't know what they're going to prove, especially since the stunt has been done several times.

Doesn't say anything in the episode description about driving into the back of a truck. In fact, I can't find any mention of it anywhere. :?

I heard they were going to try and buy a KITT nose and stick it on the front of a camaro. That was a rumour a while ago.

Looking forward to the episode!

I don't understand why they are trying what KR already filmed, multiple times. After all...it's not done via miniatures and CGI is way beyond the point of question...

At the swedish version of the first season they explains how they did drive KITT into the SEMI. So why do it again although it's fun to watch som KR references on TV. Hope the episode comes on Discovery in Sweden to!!

That was really cool. I have enjoyed the whole show. Of course we all knew it was possible because they actually did it on the show.

The debate is finally closed, once and for all! Hooray for Mythbusters! I was very happy to see how many times they specifically mentioned Knight Rider and how they made their own KR graphics.

Here's a low-res clip of it, 10MB:

Here's a very large clip, 43MB:

Ah! Newton's Second Law of Motion!

(I should have thought of that before I looked at the clip. But physics was back in high school)

when i tryed to post this on tv.com as a note 5 days before the show aired they told me "Moderator Comments:
that myth is on the discovery web site.. not in the show itself.." by GolfDude825

and it was denied twice. they are such an idiot. he told me i was wrong and he was right.

i saw it on mythbusters it is posible and confirmed and they do mention knight rider alot

i got the last laugh i taped it

Thanks for the video, Michael. I made a note to watch it yesterday and still forgot. But that was pretty cool. I liked the little animations they did, especially when the gave David a little extra poof of the fro.
