I always wondered where it was since Michael never really had to go in ti for anything.

I think it is on the rightmost side of Kitt's dash, beyond the curved monitor section, in front of the passenger...

actually its in the center console at the end like all pontiac 82-92 firebird and trans ams. a non KITT firebird/ta had a pocket with a velcro flap on the right side of the dashboard where a glovebox would be.
