The licence plate looks very original to me, but the hubcap
is very dificult to tell.

Never thought I'd say this, but it actually looks authentic. The hubcap, as you said, is definitely tougher to tell. But if it were a hoax, I would think the seller would claim to have all four hubcaps instead of just one.

I thought the license plate was blue? If the paint wore off, then why is the yellow still there?

Kinda odd. But if it's authentic, it sure will be a nice addition to someone's collection. :)

I believe that the picture of the licence plate is not very good
that's why it looks so dark.

It looks also like it was burned from the sun.
Maybe it'is from a wrecked car that still exist or existed
in Universal studios.

I've watched today one of the 4th seasons episodes, and I saw this:

The licence plate isn't exactly blue.

Hm..when comparing the eBay photo to that, it looks like the actual plate's letters on the show are slightly more stretched vertically. I wonder if that was a change from season to season, as with the registration stickers being gone by Seasons 3 & 4. The eBay plate looks to be from Season 2.

Also, if you look at the supersized picture of the plate you'll notice around the bottom left hand screw hole where the paint is obviously chipping that it is indeed blue.. The plate appears to have been repainted some time.
