Goodness me that looks awesome! I bet it lights up the carpet really well!

Could you provide a how-to? I'm fairly good at this sorta stuff and would be interested in doing this also! Well done! Where's that clappy smily when you need it!

I have sold some of the KITT R/C Toys here is the new link to the item!

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0030761685

I will give you a guide later if you like. But if you open it and have a look inside you would have to reconnect the wires to the new white LED's. You also have to be willing to take the risk. But don't take out any soldered in wires!

Thanks! Can't wait to see the details. Does for example the scanner have more leds than ERTL KITT? Yes, I do have the 1:18 ERTL KITT, currently under repairs because I accidently dropped it to gravel road and the paint got damaged
Wondering also how the rear window is made in the RC KITT, does it have the extra frame in it as ERTL KITT, because I assume it doesn't open. Details like this I'm curious about.

Hi KITTfan.. unfortunately nothing opens on the RC KITT.. it's basically just a plastic shell..

I'll try and take some hi res images tomorrow night. I've been out these past few nights. :)

Cheers

KITTfan, did you look at the hitari website I posted earlier in the topic. It has several hi res pics of the KITT R/C car.

It has 5 LED's so its the same as the ertl KITT. I like the way when you move KITT the scanner speeds up when you go in turbo boost (pursuit mode) or normal cruise. It goes slow on standby.

That looks really great, shame the rear window is copied wrong from the ERTL model.

I think its copied correctly its just the way it is shown in the photo. You can see the way of the design that is designed to protect the body from damage. Such as the mirrors are angled up a little bit so it can fit through things easier.

Excellent photos, thanks! The scanner looks very cool, it seems to have textured lense in front of it and the leds straight behind it, maybe even dividers between the leds. Cool model!

Hey mr payner, how come the scanner has 4 led's going at once they usually are going one at a time unless you hit the gas and it speeds it up. Can you post a pic with the yellow lights.

Hitari is not a new-comer really. Not sure about worldwide releases but they have been selling RC cars in the UK for atleast 10 years. I remember one of their old cars called a crazy dancer (yes that is a weird name) and I think that came out around 1996-98. Suppose it doesn't really help when your company is up against the likes of Tyco RC (now hotwheels!).

 I see... I already have an iPOD... Anyways, its been a while since I had a R/C car.. The last one I had was the silver Defender from the tv show VIPER..... That was when I was 14 yrs old I think..... Still have it kept somewhere... Too many scratches on it already.. :D

At my age now (23), I don't think I will be playing around with the KITT R/C too much... But hey, even if I do, i must make sure I don't hit the walls man...hahahaha... And the added bumper in front on the KITT R/C is a nice touch too..... Nonetheless, its just an awesome piece to own.. Already have the 1/18 KITT, i think this R/C will be a giant compared to the 1/18.... Can't wait to get it!!!!
