Do you think Hoff is a good singer? I know he's big in Europe, but why not here?

I feel "Hoff" is a good singer, and he should be able to finally get a U.S. singing career here eventually.
I'd rather see his videos than the pornographic music video of a hugely overexposed heiress(who shall remain nameless on this message board); they're fun for me to watch!
I've known him to be a good singer for a long time, and he should finally be acknowledged as one.

David definitely is a good singer. He has a beautiful soft strong voice and he knows how to sing. Not an opera singer, but a very good pop singer. For me, he is among my favorite singers.

It's just easyer to make fun and critisize than acknowledge someone's talent.

I think he is a good singer too. I listen to his music all the time and I am mainly a country music person. So that is saying quite a bit about his music since I am not a pop person. His music is good enough for me to listen to and not get annoyed...ha. :D I have 4 of his CDs, I am going to try and get all of them eventually.

I have 3 CDs and a cassette tape of one of his albums, called "Lovin' Feelings"(one in which I hope to listen to in CD form), so I hope to get the rest of his CD eventually also.
I wish DH would release his CDs (that were released abroad)here in the U.S.---all the CDs I don't have, that is!
Yep, I'm a fan of his music....

I have a fair few of the Hoff's songs and i like a couple of them a lot (mainly the one's from Knight Rider) but i don't think he's a good singer. he's by no means a bad singer, but i doubt he'd have got any kind of recording contract if it wasn't for the streangth of his personality, linked to his TV shows.

I do believe "Crazy For You" was a number one in the UK at some point (it was featured on VH1's worst number ones show and came about 3rd or 4th if i remember correctly.)

Some of his music is catchy though which also helps.

Saying that, i don't believe icon's such as "Mick Jagger" can sing either. i mean if you just listen to his voice and take away his personality and music, it's not the best, is it. Yet the Rolling Stones are one of the biggest bands of all time.

I dont like those stupid "Hooked on a feeling" and that "Jump In My car" vid. Those were just beyond cheesy.

Thisis something I can jam to. It's a huge turn from my usual music tastes. (Thrash Metal)

Sometimes being beyond cheesy's quite good if you play your cards right.
In any case, DH's kind of beyond cheesy music-wise is something I can handle, and it's sometimes enjoyable to me.
There are those who are cheesy, but don't know how to have fun with their, ahem, cheesiness.

I think 'cheesy' is where the Hoff excels and I like songs like Jump in my car

Hoff sings very well, he has a wonderful voice. :)
Especially I like the songs "Looking for Freedom", "Song of the Night" and "Wings of Tenderness".
Michael: "Someone tried to kill me yesterday."
Devon: "I have an alibi."

David is a good singer, his album "Sings America" actually is a very nice album, great songs, great big band sound and great singing. He is highly underrated as a singer... and he had some bad luck in launching his US career.

I'm glad to know the U.S. wasn't the only place where DH didn't make it as a singer(at first); he didn't make it in the UK either, so that's a relief to me somewhat.
Despite DH not making it as a singer in the U.S., I've remained a fan of his music despite that, and slowly but surely his singing's getting a bit of a following here in the U.S., as somewhat of a (necessary) guilty pleasure.
I'm also glad to know that there are a lot of people here in the States who are DH music fans, via Natalie Marshall, so that helps me, too.

I remember the 80`s-early 90`s,when David was an big star here in germany.

First I thought: Oh Nooo...not another actor who think he can sing!

But I was wrong.....He CAN sing!
I`d rather hear Davids music than Shakiras.

When I hear her voice I always think: OMG!! That`s not a human...that`s a fog horn!!!!!

Personally I believe David has quite a good voice for singing, but everyone likes to take the piss out of him for reasons unknown.

I enjoyed the KR episode where the Hoff was the singer in a rock band (can't remember the name of it!) :?

The episode is Let it be Me with David and Catherine Hickland singing. I love this one, it is one of my favorites. I think David has a wonderful singing voice.

I like Shakira's singing voice, and she's one of my favorite singers, but to each his or her own, I guess...
DH himself has a unique and strong singing voice, and I've been a fan of his singing since I first heard him sing in the "Let it Be Me" episode of "Knight Rider".
Nice, huh?

hoff has a good voice and is a good singer but his style is not catchy for the american audiance at large. personally when he sings he reminds me of tom jones

Despite that, I'm glad to know there are a lot of fans in the U.S. who are fans of DH's music, and who knows? Maybe the American music market is finally ready for him to be a singer here.
A certain person(that shall remain nameless here) who's been so overexposed and has become a total joke opera sure is an atrocious "singer", and David Hasselhoff, to me, is far better than her as a singer---and much more professional, too, and even if he's like Tom Jones sometimes, I'd rather see that than total no-talents who can't sing worth a damn!
He's plenty catchy to me, though....

I think my fafourite Album is Knight Rocker. Its one of the best. The Other Songs i love was on the Album Crazy for You and Looking for Freedom.

- Song of the Night
- Sheltered Heart
- Flying on the Wings of Tenderness
- I wanna move to the beat of your Heart (Realy cool Number)

Ma all time fafourit is "ive i could only say Goodbye. Most of the People here remember this Song. david Sings it on Top of the Pops in UK in the 90s. The Best Singing from the Hoff was on the Musical Jekyll and Hyde and on Chicago. Jekyll and Hyde was the coolest of them because the Hoff makes a great Show.

I've heard the songs "Flying on the Wings of Tenderness" and "Song of the Night"(thanks to seeing the video of the song on YouTube.com), but not the songs "Sheltered Heart" and "I Wanna Move to the Beat of Your Heart" yet, but hopefully I'll get to hear those songs eventually.
"Jekyll &Hyde", in my opinion, helped to make D. Hasselhoff better as a singer.
My all-time favorite song(one of many) is "Historia De Un Amor", because that was the first song I heard him sing in a foreign language---and made me much more of a fan of his music, too!

I just love the song "She Cried" I keep playing it over and over again since the first time I've heard it.

Also I like to listen to "Looking for a freedom" and "Hooked on a feeling". The second one is the best to listen to when you had a bad day at school and you are on your way home on a bus. :)
