Who here still has the ORIGINAL SEASON 3 SETS?
Please help us in the topic Anyone get their replacement Season 3 DVDs yet? as we're trying to distinguish physical differences between the new Season 3 box and the old one.
http://knightrideronline.com/phpbb/view ... 806#112806
We basically need to know if there are any new markings or differences in things such as the UPC or ISBN numbers.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer their help.

The original Season 3 DVD sets have:
ISBN 1-4170-7377-2
0-25192-92442-2
The phrase: 'all-new digitally remastered complete third season' is there.
The number on the spine is: 29244.
The number on the back of the packaging is: 19243 (which is different).
The most interesting difference that I have spotted is the fact that in the original Season 3 DVDs there are subtitles in English SDH and Espanol. In the new and corrected DVDs there are also subtitles in French.

Hello PBH and everyone,
My pleasure to help!
Just to confirm again that in the original DVDs, at the right bottom of the packaging, the number is 19243.
In the new/replacement DVDs, the number is: 19951. This the main difference.
In addition, in the original DVDs, there are subtitles in English (SDH) and Spanish.
In the new/replacement DVDs, there are subtitles in English (SDH), Spanish and French.
These are the differences that I have mainly spotted. I hope that it helps!
Regards,
Sofoklis

I e mailed a conmpany called Movie Magic that deals on e bay.
"The UPC code is 025192924422. The subtiles are in English & Spanish. We have been selling these sets since they have been released and we have never had a problem with the sound reported to us.
Katie Galloway
Movie Magic USA"
obviously from my understanding this would still be the faulty sets.
I have also contacted Playusa and store4dvd.com.
I will let you know what they have to say if I hear back from them.

Well I got an e mail from playusa.
"Thank you for your email.
The information regarding product specifications comes directly from the releasing supplier. Whilst we strive to keep our website as up to date as possible, we are unable to provide any further details than those specified. More information regarding Knight Rider Season Three may be available on the manufacturers website.
If the desired subtitles/language are not advertised in the technical specifications on our site it would be best to assume that they are not included in the product.
Manufacturers tend to regard extra languages/subtitles as good selling points, and usually make it very clear when such features are present.
If you have any further queries please contact us via the helpdesk section on our website:
http://www.play.com/helpdesk
Alternatively you can contact our Customer Service Department on 0845 800 1020 (UK only) or 0044 1534 877 595 (outside UK). Please note that our opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am until 8pm and weekends 9am until 5pm.
We are very sorry that we could not be of further help on this occasion.
Kind regards"
That very good news, in other words, they don't know.
This is getting realy annoying

I am also very sad that I cannot have in my hands the replacement discs yet. However, I really believe that somehow this problem will be sorted out. I think that it is still quite early for them to replace all the old stock and for us to get the corrected discs.
As it seems from their website:
http://www.playusa.com/DVD/Region_1/3-/ ... oduct.html ,
they still have the old stock. Unfortunately, we have to wait a bit longer. As you are aware, in the corrected DVDs, they have added French subtitles. Probably, that is one way to check from 'Play USA' website (and all the other e-tailers) whether they have the new DVDs.
I will allow approximately 20 days, and then I will try again to have a contact with 'loaded247.com' (I received the Region 1 - 'Season 3' DVD from them). Probably, they can help me by then.

Thanks for the info, KR fans! I recently got all 4 seasons on sale from Best Buy, but I haven't opened up season 3 yet. Now that I KNOW I got the original, more flawed season 3 I will keep checking Best Buy and Wally World for the new version. Then I'll just exchange my unopened one for the new one.
I'll let ya know when I see 'em show up around here.

I have original disks...where are the problems?
OK, I just checked and have the original disks for Season 3. I've only watched the first episode (Knight of the drones) and I didn't see or hear a problem. I had all the sound effects in and all.
Please tell me where the problem(s) lie, so I can check to see if I need to send them back.
Thanks, all!
Chris

I am not returning my copy as the missing effects are hardly noticeable in my opinion. There is only 2 or 3 episodes where it can be noticed so I am not going to bother returning it. It doesnt take away from the story or action in any way
