It's the cheap crap DVDs Universal insists on putting their series on.

It *could* be the DVD player....have you tried it on another?
But most likely it is just the poor quality DVD itself. Mine freezes up halfway in one episode, I end up having to skip a quarter of it.

I have the same problem with my S1 DVD. My first set did it and I exchanged it for a second and had the same problem. Both skipped on Disc 1 at the exact same spot... between
"Knight of the Phoenix" and
"Deadly Maneuvers".

Did you get yours from Best Buy as well?

Same here. Season one is a one sided disk.
You put it in upside down and it aint gonna play nothing!

This set here is double-sided DVD's...
I'd love to know why all of Best Buy's sets seem to be jacked up.

Only disc 4 on the region 1 set of season 1 is single sided all other discs are double sided. the region 2 set of season 1 is single sided (8 dvd set).

Yeah J-Knight, The region 2 (UK, South Africa etc) versions are all single sided discs. knightdriver has the first Region 1 set that I know of that is single sided. I bought the region 1 sets from the States simply for the teasers. When the region 2 boxset of the entire series is released then I will buy that aswell, so I'll have region 1 & 2 of the entire series.

your right I bought the region 1 sets because I couldn't wait for the ones here to come out but I bought season 2 here and it was all single and not as nice looking as the r1 sets especially how thin they are the r1's

I'd absolutely
KILL for the single-sided DVD's.
These double-siders are way too easy to scratch up.

I wonder why they always use double sided discs for R1 and single sided for R2. I'm not complaining though.
