Knight rider semi

Post by shawn757 » Thu Feb 16, 2006 3:03 am

I was thinking of getting

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wt ... LXGA15&P=0

Is this the same one in knight rider? It's a different color, but I can paint it in black. There is a trailer also for that,

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGA16

Will have to do some custom work on that to make it like the one that is in knight rider.

Was also thinking of painting it with

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wt ... LXRS41&P=7

or

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wt ... LXRS43&P=7

What do you think?

Shawn

Thats a good idea except your choice of paints, the semi gloss is more like satin/matt. I'm using Tamiya TS-14 Gloss black when my kit arrives.

Thanks for the replies. Andy are you getting the same Tamiya kit? You are right about TS 14. Somehow I missed that while searching.

Thanks GWADA.TYS for the link. Does that kit comes with the stickers too?

You welcome

I bought it but I don't make it because I don't have any place to show it in my bedroom, so it's still in the box.

I can't give you an answer sorry  Ask to somebody else...

the opened semi I have (the one stargazer posted) has the gold stickers yes, but its not a very accurate model considering how good KITT is.

That site you posted Shawn, what currency are the prices in??

Here's what I started today :D
I drew with computer one of the walls from FLAG semi (scaled in about 1:18 ) and printed it out to see how it looks with the ERTL KITT. Used 6mm thick MDF board (thus the greenish colour in the pic) as a base under KITT and taped the picture of the wall to 8mm thick wood chipboard. Here's a picture:

Haven't done anything more than this yet but eventually I'll try to make the 1st season FLAG semi interior :D

i had wondered if there were any model kits running around of the flag semi and now i know there is lol. It's not a bad base to start with though, a little work and a few tweaks and it could be made to look pretty accurate shawn, good luck man.
