I would stay with the original Pontiac Trans Am. But the new ones are not bad either I am not sure about the flip up lights on the new one they look kinda funny. Most of the Lights just have a weird look to them. I want to see people get into the series using the movie as a motive to watch it. EG: After watching the Dukes of Hazzard movie people would want to see the original too if we made KITT a lot better people may think its taking a step back watching the series. My opinion anyway.

Ahem. How about a 2006 Cadillac XLR?
Also, for everyone who wants KITT to say the same... please. A 1969 Charger is more classic than a 1982-1987 Trans Am, so of course the Dukes movie kept that car and shined a few up to use in the movie.
It's this "unwilling to let go of the past" mindset that could hinder the movie (possibly what is delaying production if studios and producers keep getting hounded with everyone demanding that "KITT must be the original!" and "David must play Michael Knight!" and "I wont go see the movie unless it has the original KITT," etc etc etc....)
Unless they plan for the movie to be set in the 1980's, using the original KITT should be out of the question. Chances are the new flick will be set in the present day... If so, the original Trans Am could make a cameo... or as someone said earlier in this thread, the 2002 Trans Am could make a cameo as well to show that Michael and KITT were together all these years and KITT has been getting constant upgrades.
