Die Cast KITT Broken(Repairable)?

Post by TransAmKITT2000 » Sun Jan 15, 2006 2:00 pm

I have the die cast KITT 1/18 scale new release. The rear axle broke in two and the driveshaft is broken off so is both left and rear shock absorbers. Is there any way to fix it right or do I have to chuck the model out?It fell from the shelf on to the floor with a terrible thud.

When I use to collect die cat cars if any broke I would just go to the store and buy a new one and return the broken one.

Use some glue. And try your bes tto get it back together. It wont be seen cause the damage was on the bottom.

Body work dude! Glue the peices together where they broke, off the car of course, wich means dismantal it,then use some fiberglass, sand and repaint, then re assemble it!

If this proves to be not worth your time, then,I would just buy another one,but if you're in my situation and KITT is hard to find like it is here, you'll have to put your labor of love into it!

I will junk the model and buy a new one.I still can get the die cast KITT
model still from my supplier.I looked at the damage and it is too
far gone to do any repairs to the rear axle and parts. The model only
fell about three feet to the carpet floor and did all that damage.

No,I don't have any pictures of the damage.I don't have a digital
camera. The driver side axle is broken clear off.The shocks have been
knocked out of the frame. The driveshaft is broken off from the
axle and broke off.The swaybar is twisted.
