I think Season 4 still comes out on DVD, by Magnum P.I Season 1 they have as bonus a episode from Season 3 of Magnum P.I and now on 31 January 2006 the same time as Knight Rider comes Season 3 of Magnum P.I to DVD.MIKEMAC wrote:I hear ya, it's cool there actully will be a special feature on the set, but having a season 4 episode makes me think now that mayby there will be no season 4, I assume they will cause why release a TV show and not come out with all seasons. Name one show that they stoped half way or the second to last season?, I sure can't. I wish it would come out as fast as the Dukes does, like every 4 months, but anyways. Season 3 I hope will be the same price as season 2 at like 30 bucks at wal-mart. That's how much I got it for.

Im proud to say thats the only episode of Knight Rider I cried watching. When Michael said "goodbye, KITT" So damned said.MIKEMAC wrote: I hope it "Scent of Roses". That is the best episode from season 4 and in most of the fans eyes(Including David himself) say that is the last episode of Knight Rider, at least it should have been, not that piece of crap Voodoo Knight.

I've seen alot of European sites mention that date, and it's possible that Region 2 will see it released that day. Can't find an official word though.Knight of Sweden wrote:on a swedish page called (cdon.com). they state that it will be realeased 2005-11-23, it sounds really strange...
here is a link to, its in swedish, but still
http://www.cdon.com/product.phtml?prod=520303
i got this happy before i saw you universal's homepage i doubt that date is correct
The random episode from Season 4 is a bit odd, I agree. At least when they did a "bonus episode" on the Ateam sets it was from another series to get you into the other series that wasn't Ateam. It's like they'll be preaching to the chour.
And is it me, or do David's eyes look enhanced blue to the point of almost creepy?

I doubt that they won't produce season 4. If sales weren't there, they would have never released seasons 2 or espcially 3.
If anything, the episode will be nothing more than a "teaser" for season 4. Maybe even part 1 of a 2-parter.

well i think it should be an episode with SPM.
Likewise when season 4 comes to DVD they should have a SPM pic of Ktt on the cover.
Which brings me to the season 3 cover,, have universal lost all the promo pictures of Knight Rider or something??
Just seems they keey using the same one and just slightly change the coulour of the box

Wow, what a revolutionary ground-breaking design! And they moved the Hoff's picture all the way to the left side! That takes some real guts. Surely they must have focused their attention on the bonus features. Picking the right episode from Season 4 is tough work! That's the perfect choice for a bonus feature because now we can have two of the same episode of Season 4 when it comes out.
Although the release date is a little later than I orginally expected, at least we're getting it at all. Anyway, these things are not what's important. My concern is if the original music will remain, since Season 3 utilized the most music of the series. There were enough songs sung by the original artists that have a chance of being removed...

Even though I'd be one of the first ones to admit that cover arts aren't really important, it's getting REALLY boring now with the same sort of design.
But if you look at all the other shows from Universal being released on DVD ie A-team, Quantum Leap, they all have a certain basic design that is just being followed through.
So KR's not the only one.
A tired design is just something we are gonna have to put up with.
But I agree with whoever said that SPM KITT should be on the 4th season...it would give the set design a perfect finish.
And I'd like to regretfully point out that, at this stage, there is probably no more hope for any quality extras.
We'll probably just get S4 as basic just like s2 and 3.

To be fair its not even just universal boxsets. All the boxsets that I have, have a consistant artwork. It doesn't matter if its 24, Transformers, Star Trek or the Batman animated series, they all have a consistant artwork with slight variation. Its there to give overall harmony within the collection. If you look at the likes of Star trek though, they do have an evil habit of bringing the whole series out in mega big boxsets with massive cases.

I will be pre ordering my from http://www.store4dvd.com
being in the uk they ship them from the uk avoiding the dreaded import duty.
it does cost a few quid more than play but no duty makes it cheap in the end.
I could of course order from amazon.com myself at put it as a gift.
But it takes weeks where as store4dvd have it delivered the day after the usa release, which is realy cool!

I've been on the receiving end from Playusa.com about the import duties.
It cost me an extra £10 to the Post Office for a dvd set I ordered.
That was the first, and last time, I ordered from those.
Play.com is good though.
As for the KR sets, I've got the last two seasons from Ebay.
Pretty reasonable costs there and got them in good time.

Who are these people kidding by calling an episode from Season 4 an "extra"? I have trouble seeing the logic in this. Who is primarily going to be buying this DVD set? Knight Rider fans! Wouldn't they think we'd know better? Anyway, I'm actually optomistic about the possibility of real extras for the Season 4 set because it is the last of the sets and they might want to make it special like the first season.
I'm not sure if any other sets from Universal (or any other major studio, for that matter) have the entire series of any shows released on DVD yet, so I don't really have any examples to compare KR to.
