David Hasselhoff Wins International Star of the Year Award


Actor David Hasselhoff won the International Star of the Year award at Saturday night's Bollywood movie awards, for his work in now-defunct TV shows including Knight Rider and Baywatch.

Hasselhoff was speechless at the ceremony in Atlantic City, New Jersey, because the award proves his programs are still the most popular shows on Indian television.

And Hasselhoff - who is currently shooting the big screen version of Knight Rider - hopes his success will persuade director Steven Spielberg to allow him to reprise his role as Mitch Buchannon in the movie adaptation of Baywatch.

He says, "Hopefully now, you'll see me as Mitch on the big screen."

Check the date on that article... as I recall he won that Dollywood award a year or two ago, when the Knight Rider move had a little more momentum. And on more than one occasion Hasselhoff has exaggerated the status a bit. By "filming", I think all he really meant was "in development".

This might very well be new information, but it sounds like something that happened a while ago.

Yeah, googling for it turns up articles saying that dated May 2005. It was over 6 months ago.

I wish it would be true.....
