White 1:18 KITT

Post by andy-kitt » Tue Nov 08, 2005 2:12 pm

I have created a white KITT using a satin white paint to create the base (bonded shell) look.

Absolutely gorgeous and beautiful model :) It is your modified KITT/KARR models that in the end made me to do those paintings to my model ;)
You have real talent making those mods. Even the rims aren't too easy to paint, you have to have very steady hand, skills, patience and the right tools.

On this one, the wheels completely painted as couldn't seperate them so it was spray them white, then add the black between the spokes, then aluminium to finish the rims.

This is my first white KITT and took 2-3 weeks to make as nearly everything had to be painted. The body took 2 spray cans at £4 each. Then painted interior and all the detailing.

I'm lovin' it. :) Next challenge: a gutted out K.I.T.T. as seen being pulled from the acid pit in "Junk Yard Dog," and a customized KITT with flames from the episode "Custom K.I.T.T."

Hey, while you're at it, why not make a more accurate plate? I figure if you can redo the entire dashboard, the plate shouldn't be much of a challenge.
