Hold on, now. KARR is not evil. KARR is a bit on the renegade side. But, he's not evil.
In Trust Doesn't Rust, what makes you think he's evil? How would you like to be put into a thinking coma over someone else's judgement and then forgotten about...to be found by some thieves in the night and abducted into their group...forced out of a loyalty, bonded by them freeing you to do illegal acts, like bank and jewelry roberies? I agree with Devon's way of putting it. KARR is a tool, devoid of a consciousness. A dangerous tool. Explain to me why KARR is 'evil'.

Oxford American Dictionaries defines evil as:
adjective: "profoundly immoral and malevolent," "harmful or tending to harm" and "extremely unpleasant"
noun: "profound immorality, wickedness and depravity, esp. when regarded as a supernatural force"
I'd say that KARR exhibits all of the above. It may be a result of his programming for self-preservation rather than KITT's preservation of human life but nonetheless, it's that selfishness that oftentimes puts others in great danger and therefore that makes KARR evil.

I agree with Jup - KARR isn't exactly evil. He just did as he was programmed and then was punished for it. But in 3rd season, I think is when people thought KARR to be more "evil". Since he screwed with Eddie's pacemaker, wrecked the bridge, etc. He plotted, thought, though about distruction. But still, can you blame someone for striking back against those that tried to kill him in the first place, instead of explaining the mishap and trying to take him in and repair and help him?
It's an interesting topic, for sure.
