I've never heard about his secretary replying to his fans' letters. David replies sometimes, but very, very rare, because he gets hundreds of e-mails every day...
I think, if it is possible, David will make the movie. And he wants to meet his fans' wishes. But he depends on circumstances like other peoples. So lets keep our fingers crossed and be partient...

Oh, somewhere I read that his secretary might reply or something, I just asked if there were any publicity photos or something....and didnt get any reply. I also was just thinking that there are so many good ideas from people on this site, it would be nice if David could see them for the movie. It has been many years as well, waiting for the movie, but you are right, I am impatient

I agree with you on that Knight Racer. There hasn't even been anything recent circulating in the rumor mill. Let's hope everyone didn't forget about it either. No matter what though I will still sit patiently.

Im just afraid it might not be as important to him as it is to us, so maybe if he heard from US he might be more motivated (if there is anything in the works on a KR movie)...

Yes...

On imdb board you can find the following information:

1) Director has been picked up. it's Joseph Merhi (considered one of the best tv action movies directors of the 90's)
2) Pre-production will begin on september 2005
3) Movie set for a november/december 2006 release. Producers have been asking for long pre-production time as they still want to sign a lot of guests for it
4) the knight 4000 will play a part on the movie. (probably the intro were it gets distructed? since the old trans am will be kitt)
5) karr confirmed as the only antagonist.
6) the script is called "Knight Rider Returns", but it may change in the future. i heard the title was choosed because they wanted to "challenge" upcoming new superman movie, another 80's icon, called "Superman Returns"

Seems the 80's shows are still becomign films for some time to come.

Dukes, Starsky and Hutch, Miami Vice, A-team, and so on, they are all
in the works if not already released. just give them time, I am sure it will
be done.

Here's something that 'could' be worse...'Pac-Man'...the theatre movie.

Here's hoping that this movie is about the history of how video games came about. Because...how will a movie about a marble with a mouth gonna be given a plot? They never pulled a 'good' plot off, before.
