The Highs and Lows of Knight Rider

Post by Daemonicus666 » Fri Sep 02, 2005 10:11 am

What do you think were the high points and the low points during Knight Rider's 4 seasons on air? I loved the idea of KARR, I thought that was brilliant. I wish they had him in more episodes. I know I was not a big fan of the super pursuit mode and the convertible mode.

kitt look good as a convertible but the super persuit mode did reck it a bit for me. the episodes were still good. i liked all the action and the sarcastic comments between kitt and michael.

High Point - Knight of the Juggernaught - Unashamedly my favourite.

Low Point - Mouth of The Snake. It HAD to be a failed pilot, nothing else would explain it.

I used to hate it too but I started to appreciate it more. It had some interesting character's and had great music.

Not realy to so with the episodes themselfs.

But to oput another angle to the topic,

High's getting Season Dvd's relased at last.

Low Never realy getting anything concrate about the new movie,

Seeing lame stuff like Dukes of hazzard made into a movie makes it more annoying.

I'd have to say the low point of "Knight Rider" was the episode "Voodoo Knight", since I don't think that was such a good ending of an otherwise good show.
I also didn't like it when Nordstron was cruel to Devon, while he had a phony Devon in his place, in the episode "Knight of the Juggernaut".
Some high points of "Knight Rider" were, for me, when Michael and KITT helped to save Becky's life in the episode "Race for Life", and the saga of Michael and Stevie, plus the time when Bonnie returned to FLAG after a year's absence.
That's all I can think of for right now.....

i totally agree. KITT as a conv and the sarkasm of KITT is probably the best highlights in the show. it wouldn't have been the same without the "personality" that they gave KITT.

I think the best episodes thoughout the whole series were Junk Yard Dog, Kitt vs Karr, Race for Life and Soul Survivor. The worst ones were The Mouth of the Snake and Woodoo Knight.

Another low point: When "Knight Rider" was cancelled in 1986. That was horrible!
Another high point: When "Knight Rider" was released on DVD, so that I could see the original episodes of the show again!
As for episodes, I'd say some other high point episodes for me were; "Knights of the Fast Lane", "Dead of Knight", "Junk Yard Dog", and "The Scent of Roses"(the final part of the 3-episode Michael and Stevie saga)....
Personally, I didn't think that "Mouth of the Snake" was all that bad;)

I think, the Mouth of the snake should have just been a regular episode.

It was just to long not enough story to fill it.

They should have given Kitt Vs Karr a feature leangh episode instead.

Give Karr Chance to cause more mayhem before his one on one with Kitt!

High points:

Season 2 - Filled with great episodes and 3 feature length ones can't be all that bad.

All the merchandising from the show and the popularity with the kids and adults is another high point. In fact, this high point continues today because the show isn't just dead and buried.

A show, that only lasted 4 seasons, yet is one of the most remembered shows to date. Not a lot of tv series can do this.

Low points: The 90's. Barely anything KR was going on and two lame spin- off movies don't cut it for me.

Everything about Knight Rider is rated as high points for me, except for "Mouth of the Snake". That was one lousy episode.

I think u guys are forgeting something.

..... the hand to hand combat was awful , even for its time.

its the samething . and i said this before already.

david : step one: 1 or 2 punches.

step one: knee in the stomach

step three flip them over

step four : say a corny one liner

example : david : you may be cheesy but im cheesier

Perhaps the hand to hand combat was cheesy as all get out, but sometimes Michael didn't get to, since the crooks would faint out first before he could give them the left hook.
DH may be cheesy, but hey, I still like him! 8) :)
