For anyone who cares(I know I realy don't)

I came across this:

KR 2010, I remeber when I managed to get a copy for rental from my local video store.

Said "Based on the popular 80's tv series"

Hmm Apart from the Name can't see any connection,

1 star they gave it as well, I woulden't give it that much :lol:

In Italy the movie Knight Rider 2010 never it has not arrived.

I know that this movie is "based" on the serial Knight Rider, but is present another car and another "lone crusader" (not a K.I.T.T. and Michael).

I have seen some image on the web.

Please, give me a comment on this movie.

i recorded it when it was last on over here a couple of years ago but it's a big dissapointment so i re-recorded over it.

really it has nothing to do with the tv series. my oppion they should have called it something completly differtent to knight rider 2010.

I still kinda liked the car.

I especially love it when they do up the car. That's always the best bit in any movie - the prepping!

Perhaps, wanting create a new series, the KR2010 it was a pilot episode.

I was not a fan of this film, the title is really misleading. It was a poor effort in film making and the plot was rather horrendous. Nevertheless I still brought it on VHS to include with my Knight Rider collection.

My collection is limited to that find in Italy.
KR2010 not exist in Italy, I try to buy in the web for an english version, even if this movie is not beautiful.

Well, I watched it again here in the UK. And I have to say, I STILL, personally, cannot get into it.

Ya know, they only show and do stuff with the car for the final 10 mins of the film.

And the climax is really bad.

If it's any consolation, the final scene at the semetary between Jake and his gf is touching and a great scene.

But it's too late at that point.

But why this movie is called "Knight Rider 2010", then :?:

They hoped that became famous like "Knight Rider" :?:

Of agreement, is based on the serial KR, but to me seems an emulation of KR, not based on the KR.

I agree with you on those points.

It took the name and tried to create something on it's own but obviously failed.

Based on the original? That changed the girl's name away from "Cat" because they said it was too close to KITT!

To my opinion, the movie is called KR2010 because there is a talking car with the "function" automatic guide.

Like gotten passionate of Knight Rider, think that this movie it does not have to that to make with the original serial Knight Rider (Supercar, in Italy), not even based.

It can badly be an attempt of imitation..... Unsuccessful :(
