GM Nationals/Foundation Pictures

Post by Knight224 » Mon Jun 27, 2005 4:39 pm

Here are a few pictures from the GM Nationals and Foundation event on Saturday. The originals were too big to put here, so I had to crop and resized some of them. Enjoy!

Nice pictures...that 1st season 2-TV dash looks sweet. But does it really belong to the later season nose? Bahh....the car still looks great. :)

Sweet pics... that first pic has both of the Banshee noses Rob had made. Someone else had ordered the nose on the right, the one on the left I bought (the one with the scanner shelf) and am in the process of installing it now.

Nah, but I definately will post them. First I'm going to install it unpainted to make sure nothing else has to be done to it (sanding, etc.) then I will take it to get painted up. Here are a couple more though.

The old nose:

The new nose with the car behind it:

Yep, I was there on Saturday... for only a couple of hours though, maybe somewhere between noon and 3 if I remember right. I actually pulled my truck (a blue Avalanche) in there to get it, Rob offered to help me carry it to my truck which was parked way out in BFE but he seemed super busy so I declined the offer. I wasn't about to have THE Rob Louisell help me carry a huge nose through a TON of people all the way out to the treeline to load it up in my truck.

By the way, Rob is seriously one of the nicest people I think I've ever met. Those of you that met him would probably say the same.

I just took the old nose off tonight - that was fun. I'll be sure to post more pics as it progresses.

Well Rob had sized the nose for the Ivirscar scanner, I might go with that. It's also operated by a remote control which is awesome.

Sweet! Did I see you, or talk to you? There were quite a few people there anyhow.

Check out the progress on my KR/Banshee (I know it looks like it's laughing):

I really don’t know. I talked to so many people that day! And I didn’t get one single name!

Your car does look like it's laughing! Are you going to paint it red?

True, I think the only names I got that day (that I can remember) are Rob's and, well that's it...

Nah, I'm going to keep the whole thing real dark metallic green or maybe do a metallic black.

Tell me if this looks better:

That car would look better if the opening on the bottom of the nose was smaller, or had something to fill it in. Other than that nice job. 8)

Well... I think it looks better than KIFT. Are you going to put a green scanner in it, too? That would look cool. Don't use a red one or s/he will look like a Christmas tree!!!!!
