Well I just got back from Best Buy and I'm looking at season 2 sitting on my desk right now as I type. I seriously can't wait to watch it. I just got to wait for the old roomate to come back from class so we can start. :D

I went to Circuit City. They had a price tag of $39.99. But, their ad listed it at $34.99, equal to Fry's Electronics.

I agree that those slim cases they used suck. When I opened the cases, each disc wasn't set into the flimsy holder. I'm hoping the discs didn't take any/too much damage from it.

Now, if I can only find that receipt for the season 1 discs, I can take advantage of that $10 refund. (Which is really a sweet offer. Add the A-Team DVD's and Magnum, and that tally really gets nice.)

Hummm.....I'm pondering if in Goliath, the song Give Me Shelter by the Rolling Stones always sounded like it was from another band...

Neil,

Getting back to the "Goliath" trailer...I really dont have any info on that. Maybe the trailer that is on the DVD is the one NBC used to air reruns of Goliath?

On another note, the trailer for "Brother's Keeper" is missing about 1-2 seconds at the beginning where Michael says "Go!".

Am I losing my mind, or is there only 4 scene selections for the 2-parters?

I'm curious to see how the Region 2 version will come out as I think Region 1 is annoyingly dark. The R2 version for Season 1 was considerably brighter than R1 in the comparison shots that neps provided. The outdoor daytime scenes don't look bad, but the indoor and night scenes kind of annoy me because they're harder to see. I was considering lightening the contrast on my TV at some points.

Actually, it's like watching the DVDs with sunglasses on. My guess is that the darker tint was applied to help disguise the specs of dust or "snow" because of a mediocre transfer job. Still, compared to syndication and VHS tapes, it's the best quality available, but for standard DVD quality I find it mediocre/sub-par. I think most people won't care much about it because the only other frame of reference is TV and VHS, but it kind of bugs me. Don't get me wrong, though, as I still enjoy the set.

Has anyone noticed there is a one second clip in the opening sequence of every episode in Season 2 of KITT's dashboard in season 3. Was this how it was originally?
I know it's very minor but I'm just curious...

I kind of thought that after the first season came out -- that by and large they did a very good job, but that some of the episodes didn't come through the transfer process as well.

And then I saw the Forever Knight DVDs. Wow is that a bad transfer -- really, really grainy dark shots. And FK was 10 years more recent than KR to begin with so it had to be in better shape. But they did absolutely nothing to clean up the images for that release.

But I actually prefer the darker tint. It makes the night time shots very sharp, even though they do get a little dark in some scenes. To me it's a worthwhile trade.

OK I know I've left it late. But today I received Season 2 Region 1 on DVD. My birthday happens to be today so it was an excellent Birthday present. I've only just started watching the 1st episode with Goliath. The picture and sound quality is absolutely AWESOME !!! I would have preferred single sided discs though. I can't wait for seaon 2 & 3 to come out.
