TV Guide: Movies based on TV shows

This week's TV Guide (Jan 16-22) has an article talking about the current crop of movies in production based on TV series. It's a little disheartening that they didn't include Knight Rider. Hasselhoff is more committed to doing Knight Rider than Jim Carrey is to Six Million Dollar Man, yet KR didn't make the cut.

The movies they describe:
The Honeymooners
Bewitched
The Dukes of Hazzard (out July 29)
Serenity (based on Firefly)
Get Smart
Aeon Flux
Miami Vice
Baywatch ("Stars: None yet, but David Hasselhoff's performance as David Hasselhoff in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie should make him a shoo-in.")
The A Team
The Six Million Dollar Man
The Munsters

Yeah, I was upset about that as well.

I personally think Knight Rider has a better shot at the box office than "The Dukes of Hazzard". Why, you may ask? Well, let's take a look between the General Lee and KITT.

Intelligence:
General Lee-no
KITT-yep (most of the time, he's smarter than Michael)

Jumping capability:
General Lee-only when there's a ramp or a pile of dirt in front and something to jump over
KITT-duh

Looks:
General Lee-good decal work on the roof & doors, but an orange car??
KITT-YEAH!!!!!

And that's my opinion.
