I don't really use mine much since I added fogs. I think KITT looks better without the pop-ups (on anyway).

At the time the 3rd generation Trans Am was introduced, the pop-up headlights were a sort of gimmick to attract would be buyers. It was also designed to give the car a more streamlined look. For me it was cool to see it in action. However, it wasn't reliable and was prone to breakage.

I figure I'm tempting fate on mine. It's a 92 and the motors havn't gone out yet. Worries me when I see newer 4th gens running around with one light stuck in the up position.

Just get a Trans Am lol Actually if you want some decent gas milage go get a v-6 4th gen firebird. they go pretty well for a 6 cyl and you can find them a 5 speed pretty easily.

I think the new Corvette z06 in black would be the PERFECT KITT! Just widen the air scoop and put a scanner in it. Oh, and black wheels with silver rims.

Prone to breakage...that's for sure! Most Firebirds look like they're winking because of broken pop-up lights.

Look at this firebird. I think it looks like a perfect modern KITT. The nose looks kind of like KITT's from the original. It's kind of pointy at the end which makes it look more futuristic. If they don't use the original KITT from the series in the movie than I think they should use a 4th generation firebird. It would give the show some continuity as if Pontiac was the official car supplier for Knight Industries. The second pic looks okay for a KITT, but I think the first one has more of a KITT look to it.

That's a nice Firehawk at the bottom there. For those that don't know, every few years, the Trans Am series had the Firehawk edition which had more horsepower among other things.

I think its design was a little ahead of its time, so although the car may be getting old now, it still looks damn good. I thought the car reached its peak design-wise from 1998-2002. I like to think of the Trans Am as being taken out in its prime and only getting better with age.

Beautiful car, yes. K.I.T.T., no. Looks just like Elanor from the remake of Gone In 60 Seconds.

I think the Firebird is cool also, but why would they go with a car that is not even in production no longer.
Pontiac was involved in the origanal, because the 1982 T/A was just coming out.
Ford would probably pay KR to use the Mustang.

A fresh new look is what we need.

Unless GM gets off the sideline and introduces a new sport coup.
There is a rumor that they might bring the Camero back???

What is everyone else's opinion?

2005 Ford Mustang GT or the 2003 Firebird.
