Favorite Game Mission? (spoilers)

Post by Michael Pajaro » Wed Dec 04, 2002 1:24 pm

I finally finished the game. (I can't play it on my Mac so I have to use someone else's PC who has it). Which missions do you find yourself going back and playing again?

I seem to like the helicopter chase the best. For some reason, it seems to have the best Knight Rider flavor to it:dodging land mines, turbo-boosting over obstacles, and I like skiing around the trailers.

Probably my favourite level would be original sin part 1 coz there is no time limit and with a little tinkering ive got SPM for the level, which means i can play about till my hearts content, even though it gets boring after a while.

Is there no key to let you look behind yourself ? so you can see the front of KITT, wish there was, and i cant take screenshots either, i press print screen but it doesnt work.

Anyways, ive made it a bit more authentic for myself, replaced the sounds Davilex used with the original sound effects from the show, so when im in SPM going flat out it sounds the way it should, plus i put in a better turbo boost sound and changed Ski Mode coz i wasnt happy with the beep, its now got the original touch tone sounds they used.

If anybody has got a good clear sound of KITT's turbine engine not moving then id appreciate it greatly ! coz i hate the way he sounds in the game.

Did you buy your copy directly from Europe, Mike? I didn't think the US technically HAD the game, yet.

Very clever idea replacing some of the sounds. If/when a Mac version ever comes out (I won't hold my breath) I might try to change the music a bit too.

Sometimes when I drive backwards a far enough distance I can get the camera to swing around enough to show the front of KITT, but it's not a great view. My best hope for screen grabs is to maybe get the PS2 version and simply digitize the video output as a quicktime movie.

It's not my copy. I have friend who had it and played it on his PC. I didn't ask where he got it, he didn't tell. But he has friends who work at Electronic Gaming World or Electronic Gamers or one of those types of companies so it might have been a demo or for-review copy.

I like all levels where you can be allowed to use SPM to good effect. ive got the PS2 version and have completed it.

ive not got a memory card so does anyone know any cheats for the game on this platform to maybe unlock the missions right away, use ALL features from level 1 or perhaps play as KARR or Goliath?? anything at all?

ive searched the net but have come up short so far!

I agree, i think the helicopter chases are the best levels. :D

You really get into the chase... LOL

The worst level has to be the last... I mean KARR just keeps reversing around in circles! I wasn't expecting the last level to be the easiest, or the shortest. What a letdown.

The problem with KARR in the game that you can set up games of "chicken" with him. Weren't you hoping KARR would chicken out first? That would have been a nice touch. Or, if you try to turbo boost over KARR head-on (as I'm sure you tried many times!) he should jump up at you for a mid-air crash. Would make for a great switch-camera shot like they do with some of the turbo boosts.

KARR just goes around in circles. That does sound pretty bad.

It my version of the KR game, I planned on having KARR make constant attacks while driving on a one-way road surface. And, for the final fight area, it would be KITT, KARR, Goliath III and an un-named third party driving around in an "all range mode" (Star Fox term for wide open playing field) in the desert. I wasn't sure how I was going to pull off the effects or the AI for it, though. Doesn't matter much, now that there's an official game out and a new movie. (Way too many legal issues abounding, now.)

Hi i'm new.

EDIT: I just deleted what i had written here, seemed more correct. Sorry about that :(

My favorite level was the first(not the training). The car chase, when i saw KITT go over the train. 8)

EDIT: Sorry, but we do not promote illegal downloading of anything, due to copyright constraints. Especially this game, which took a lot of effort on Davilex's part to actually create, and since we do support the creation of this game, we do not support promotion of illegal downloads. Welcome to the board. Try another topic, something a little less frowned upon. -KI, Moderator

The car chase is the second level. Unless your dodgy download is missing a level? LOL :P

I also like the levels where you can use SPM. It's really cool. The chopper chase missions are really cool too. My personal favorite is the mission where you have to turboboost to the parking garage at the end of the mission.
