How can you make the headlights in the trans am go up without turning them on. In one of the episodes KITT has them up, but they are off. Just wondering since I can't fig out how to do it on mine without taking the fuse out.

I don't know how the head light wiring for the trans-am goes, but...

I could see one way of pulling this off is with some sort of in-line switches that can by-pass the power to your headlamps placed inside the fixtures that is remotely operated somewhere on the dash. But, how to pull it off? I haven't a clue.

Um, hate to butt in here, and be a fuddy duddy, but if you are talking about entering a graphic into your board signature, then I hate to ask you this, but could you please not? Graphics are a pain in the rear if some threads have to load them, in quantity, and well, others might not like having to wait while your signature graphic comes up.

If you mean something else, then I apologize.

It is quit easy.
You turn the headlights on when you have power to the car. The lights get power from the battery, then you have attached a master kill switch. That stops the battery to give power to the car and the headlights are in upright position. but no light

Hope this make sence.

I'd like to. But, a few days back, my computer (which has the image, amongst other things...like the KR game.) went down due to a bad power supply. I might be able to coax a couple minutes of operation out of it. But, I'd need more than that to send out any e-mail.

Not sure when I'll be able to buy a new power supply...and hope that it fixes the problem. (Sure acts like an undervolting power supply. Works fine until it heats up a little and the voltage becomes unstable.)

So, for now, I'm running on pure Sega Dreamcast. And, I can't send any files from it. Just text.

Oh, damn, no wonder you haven't been around too much! i was beginning to wonder where you'd gone, LOL.

Yes, its so annoying when you are confined to the Dreamcast hehe. But there is a good way round that...buy more games. just kidding!

hope it all works itself out soon.

I have about half-a-dozen. So far, (second only to the 2.0 browser) Hoyle Casino has been my favorite.

hey, I was just responding to a rather sarcastic reply from skav to a point that has been brought up many times before. I made my statement nicely, I didn't enter any sarcasm to it. I was just giving a simple warning, and return, I get sarcasm, and I just replied to it.

It seems that my nice statements just get more scorn.

I am getting the definite feeling that you all don't want me as a moderator anymore, even when I am just doing my job.

Now, to get back to the whole headlights concept, if you want a definite answer, you might want to check over at www.knightregistries.com they might have a little more info on the subject that most of us would, since it is their specialty.

(Innapropriate word here), KI! You've been doing a wonderful job with the moderations. I doubt there are words to explain just how valuable you really are for this community.

It's just that sometimes, you have given me slight concern, is all. ...and, no. I'm not giving my reasons as to why.

Rather than knock this topic back off target, I'd rather stick this into the middle of it all.

I apologize for this disrespectful posting that was made with as much emotional intent as it was in defense for Skav's original question. In another thread, we rubbed each others feathers the wrong way and when I saw a cheap chance to snipe at you, I took it. This was wrong for me to have done. And, now that my emotions have been douced, I can clearly see that what I said was purely wrong. Again, I apologize for my previous posting in this thread.

Apart of a moderator's tasks include the governing of the rules to the tightest of tolerance and stopping friction points at the source, preferably as soon as possible... and, I'd be lying if I said that I was OK with that. Nothing meant as personal by it. But, seeing as how I've actually talked down to Law Men, face to face about my rights, anyone holding the Moderation status is subject to flaring up my darker side, as well.

...erm...all right...losing the atmosphere, there...

I am sorry, KI. I was just letting my emotions guide my postings during that...and it was wrong of me to do so.

Look, i was kidding, alright! i jumped the gun a bit but i do feel this community has become quite strict with certain things. i have noticed rapid changes and it's not like how it used to be. i don't really even enjoy it around here all that much anymore cos of the security here!

KI, you have done a great job maintaining the board but i will state my feelings and say you can be harsh. you state that you was giving a WARNING...why couldn't you have renamed that to something else? makes me feel that i have been put on a discipline report.

i appreciate your points on the fact that graphics do tend to slow down threads and for that reason, i would not have done the graphic thing based on this point for consideration for other people.

but you've always been very quick like a harbor shark to jump on anyone if you feel they've done something wrong. why don't you ask neil about the graphic thing? he is the one that's paying for the board and then if the decision is unanimous then that's fine.

you're a competent mod but i think ur being a bit too confident in what you can do.

i don't even see Mike or Behemoth round here anymore to help or at least vouch for a decision that a mod personally brings up. if they've quit, then more mods are required.

Period!

Well, then, Skav. I see your point.

I guess it would be best if I just quit.

Thanks for letting me know how miserable I have made you.

Goodbye.

I'm here pretty much every day. If a moderator brings up a personal issue, then it's just that: a personal issue. As far as other topics are concerned, we don't need 3 moderators jumping in on every suggestion that comes up the board. If it's a serious issue, we'll talk about it.

Oh, KI, don't be like that. I was merely dishing out a little criticism. Can't you handle that? I have said throughout you are a great mod but you have your faults as does everyone. nobody is perfect. damn it, criticise me if you wish. you haven't made me miserable but i was stating the community merely has changed rapidly and how moderating methods probably might have affected that.

I apologize for being sarcastic earlier. There was no need for it and I should have responded more appropriately.

As I said ur a good mod but i am just wondering if you're taking this job a little too seriously....

*peeks around corner*

No, I can't take it, when it comes in the form of contradictory criticicm.

I'm a good mod, but you don't like the way I do my job. Make up your mind.

I open my mouth up more because I am here more often, and Mike doesn't believe in cluttering the board with responses of support for things that he supports, he will let it be well known when he is opposing something, and the whole graphic in a signature thing, we both agreed on previous to this, before the board's last brain fart.

The place hasn't become any more strict than it was to begin with, and Neil has agreed with virtually all of it, because it is a well known fact to most that we are out for the best interests of the board. I do take my job very seriously, because I respect this board, my co-moderator, and the board admin, as well as the others who post here.

Now, I won't tell you what I think of you personally, because it is not professional, if you have a problem, you could have gone to email with it, but instead, you decide to take your anger out on me. Well, congrats, you will probably find the board a little more to your liking without me.

And for your information: Behemoth hasn't been a moderator for almost two months, since he resigned.

Oh, right, so now your gonna resign just because me, just 1 member in probably hundreds, said something. that is just immature. oops - did i say something again? if you're really that dedicated then you won't quit. so don't! you shouldn't feel hurt and all the hard work has gone to waste, just because i find some of the methods you undertake, unappealing.

And I said you've always been a good moderator but you have your faults. If you can't understand that then i dunno wot to do.

People, kind folk, shall we look at the problem here from the beginning? Laura asked Skav very nice and politely to avoid graphics in his signature. Simple request, and a fine moderatorly thing to do, to conserve bandwidth and loading time. Skav decided to get snippety about it, for whatever reason. Laura didn't even respond all that strongly, she just corrected the bad grammar in his jab at her. Then Jup comes in and basically claims that Laura is starting something. To top it all off, Skav says he was just criticizing, and asks if Laura can't take it or something. Who else sees the twisted path that this thread has taken?

Skav, do the smart thing here and take your hostility away from the boad. Jup, I know you can see with clarity what happened here; I know you have better judgement than that. And Laura, there's no need to discuss leaving over this matter. If everyone just sits back down and slowly sips the cold beverage of their choice, this'll be long gone, and no one will remember it. An apology from Skav wouldn't hurt any though. Jup, too, if you would.

Good day all, God bless.

Since me and KI are discussing this privately now and have sorted a lot of things out i apologize for the sarcastic comment made to KI to start the thing off.

I won't apologise for my opinions and that's something you all, as a community, will have to get used to.

I apologize, Knightimmortal! I've always said your a great moderator and have always had great respect for you even throughout this fracas.
