If there was, it would be on the board and in the KR News forum. We don't hide the good stuff. It's just been pretty mum since David's rehab, and his present focus on the Baywatch movie.

I found something about the movie. So here it goes.

RUMOR ALERT!

The car for the movie is already been built a couple of months ago.

I decided to ad this because I thought that this board needs every small hints and news about the movie.

I hope it's the same 1982 Pontiac Trans Am in the new movie, but so far it's looking very good

I do not know what this is...
But still it is about kr

Q: I've heard that there is going to be a Knight Rider movie and David Hasselhoff is going to be starring in it and that the movie is going to be done "Matrix-style". What does that mean? And how do you do that with a car?

A: There is a lot of misinformation on the Internet about the Knight Rider movie, much of it coming from David Hasselhoff. It is a little known fact that the Knight Rider movie was written and cast as a joint venture of the Screaming Midget and Ask Kid Continuity staff (a ScreamingContinuity production). Starring Ben Affleck as Michael Knight and Matt Damon as "KITT" (whick we've renamed MATT) the script looks something like this:

Ben: Oh no! Those guys are shooting at us! Activate turbo boost MATT!

Matt: May I remind you that activating turbo boost will cause everything around us to move in slow motion?

Ben: I know! But it's very Matrix-style! And Gwyneth is over there and I really want to impress her.

Matt: I'll activate my infra-red tracking scope too! The chicks dig that! Think she'll check under my hood?

Ben: Why I oughta...

Ben presses the turbo boost button on MATT's forehead. The movie becomes a slow-motion crawl during twenty minutes of mindless violence.

We're hoping to get Kevin Smith to direct.

I thought it was interesting they used the NES box cover for the logo on the site.

I hope that everyone feels that they should keep KITT and Michael's legacy true. I mean every time they do a remake of a television show on the big screen, they screw it up so much from the original idea of the show. Look at Lost in Space, that movie was so far off from the original idea (hello). KR does not need to be made for the new age and the teen market, for once they should leave what worked alone. KITT should be a Trans AM at least the no newer than a 1999 model and David should come back as Michael Knight.

I think that Glen knows how important it is to follow the original story line. David should be left off the movie if the movie goes back to 80's. Michael were young back then! I like that black Trans AM too, but if the movies events happens 2000+, then they should get Kitt a new body. ( It does not have to be too futuristic ).

I sure hope that Dodge Stealth it out from the movie. Image

I might be mistaken, but isn't this car a Chevrolet Corvette?

Most definitely a 'Vette. *smiles contentedly* (Ok, you all can shoot me, but I have a real love affair with that car.)

I always claimed Corvette's to be unsleek and plain looking.

Everyone has their own view on things. I don't like the lights, wheels and just the general shape of it. It has a "bubble" shape look to it...something the 1982 TA doesn't have.

Obviously I like them more when they are coloured black but even that doesn't help very much.

Oh well...just my view.

Let me just say that at least the modern Corvettes look a whole lot less bubble like than the latest Trans-Ams, and in effect, the stretched look from the older Trans-Ams was similar to the stretched look of the older Vettes.

Just my knowledge. To each their own.

Since I don't have much knowledge of Corvette's as i dislike them, is that one above, a modern or an older version? it looks like an older version to me.

Modern version. I think that is the 2002 model.

The car is 2002 model!

Even Trans am needed some work before it was ready to be Kitt. Maybe Corvette could look even better if they would do some modifications.

In that case, I had to ask that question because I honestly don't see much difference in terms of shape between the two versions.

Still looks bubbly to me and perhaps even more so than the old version.

Well, it just means I've never been a fan of Corvette's which is true.

the movie will probably have a big scene in it where the new car is brought out for the first time. if they wish to keep it secret i hope it doesn't sneak on to the board and ruin the effect of those parts of the movie. we should watch it the way it is intended to be fair in reviews as well as for our own enjoyment.

and did anyone else grin when they saw a trans-am-looking corvette at the start of xXx?

:P to you too lol

what did you think of it? i thought it had good production values and the stunts thankfully didn't retreat into the laughable m:i2 type of stuff, but the plot and characterisation were both virtually non-existant.

i know this means nothing in the context of the kr movie, as studios can produce completely different style and depths of films (e.t. and shindler's list from spielberg/amblin for just one eg.) and with hasselhoff, larson etc on board i'm hopeful. i was just disappointed. lilo and stitch was so much better last weekend

Phil, you are joking?? That scene where the corvette jumps off the bridge and Vin parachuete's out of it, not MI:2 style? btw, i preferred that to the original!! :P. sorry.

yeah, it's got good production values. i'll be seeing it in the cinema soon, hopefully. they're calling it the 'new james bond'!

somehow, i doubt it'll be as good, lol.

but the stunts and action pieces look positive.
