Re: Don Peake Needs Your Input on Upcoming KR Music Release!
Hitchcock Media Records is offering a 20% discount for Juy 4th. The upcoming four new volumes of "Knight Rider" scores were cancelled a few months ago due to lack of funding. I would only hope anybody who was wanting a copy of any of these, would take advantage of the sale, and maybe help ...

Some composers are willing to share little things, some are not. You can try and see which Tyng is by sending him an e-mail: http://www.christophertyng.com/contactrepresentation.cfm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; info@christophertyng.com or the e-mail form on the website, b...

I'm not sure how many times to tell you WE DON'T KNOW. Tyng SCORES films and TV, too, aside from rare singing. He is primarily a composer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAAUvTBBusM" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9Ef0ErCU1c" onclick=&quo...

Re: 2008 Pilot and Series Music
As far as I know, Christopher Tyng scored every episode (somebody correct me if wrong). When you're not hearing a song, you're hearing his original score. It's unreleased. Not even one cue on his new website. The name is irrelevent, since it's unreleased. It's only releveant if a CD happens, they if...

Yes, and I would love if he came here and posted a little audio in his K.I.T.T. voice saying:
"My sensors are detecting that rumors of my death have been grately exaggerated. Honestly."

Re: Knight Rider 2012 (AKA: Glen Larson's Feature Film)
The iron's not hot on any of those, except possibly Godzilla. Just because something gets a film version re-boot, doesn't mean it's "hot", it just means the studio still gets sales from DVD and other merchandise, that makes it think a film version can capitalize on that success I say excep...

No, it's still a matter of opinion. Not only could they have continued to use the older model, there's no stupid contractual linchpin of using GM period -- any auto company, any other model, could have been a choice. And before you cry "foul" over some kind of heresay of not using GM, reme...

Re: Knight Rider 2012 (AKA: Glen Larson's Feature Film)
The iron isn't hot anymore. Universal instead gave us a poor movie, then an aweful TV series years later barely resembling what we loved, then offerd us a poor new series that not only turned it it in every bad cliched poor TV series suffer from, but butchered the theme music and turned K.A.R.R. in ...

Re: The complete Knight 4000 thread (LOTS of images!)
A matter of opinion. For me it's ugly and not a worthy successor of the original K.I.T.T., in fact, the movie was not good over all; it had some good themes, ideas, but poorly executed, approached, and the attempt to make it too futuristic dated it even at its time.

Sadly, two/three weeks ago ALL mention of future CD's was removed from their site. I ugess that is that until somebody can help finance it.
It was, however, replaced with this:

Re: Don Peake Needs Your Input on Upcoming KR Music Release!
Impatient to know, I contacted HMR. The reply came today. Funding is still not secured. The change to "ASAP" is jsut the wording of choice to reflect when the CD's might come. I might have chosen something like "On hold at this time. Check back periodically for updates.", but hec...

She asked for their service and in turn time, and they provided it to help a stranded motorist. She owes them, regardless of the fix or lack thereof. This is pretty much the equivilant of running out of your check. No one forced her to make that call. Nobody forced them to come out and help here. Sh...

Re: "Code of Vengeance" Movie on YouTube
I'm glad it was put up -- I've never seen it before. It was quite enjoyable. Very well done, even the little minor characters were of some interest and worked. It lagged a little in the first 15 minutes though. I feel this pilot didn't pay off enough for the lag. Would have been nice is he still had...

Next time I watch the episode, I'll resurrect the thread; don't feel like it now, as I did recently to make the score's tracklist in the Peake thread further down.

Re: The Scent of Roses: 26 years ago today
And an excellent dramatic score by Don Peake . Too bad only about half it was on the Hitchcock Media Records CD. Only problem with the episode: Hassellhoff's acting was rather sub par many times and his love for Stevie -- didn't buy it at all. Probably one of the worst love interests I have seen. In...

Re: "Code of Vengeance" Movie on YouTube
I'll say the music is familiar; the very first cue in the episode is a stock cue from "Knight Rider" he used in at least two episodes ("Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend" and one of one of those Hitchcock MEdia Records Volumes). Not a re-performance, but the same cue. And the old...

Is there any kind of update? I know above it was stated HMR couldn't get the funding to continue, but between then and now, they've updated their site again, and now it says the releases will happen "ASAP".

I apologize -- don't bother looking for it. A day or two later, the website provider went down for some kind of repair, for two or three days, and when it came back up, my site was gone; second time that's happened with this site, and it didn't break any of the rules.

Check your local laws first. Running one on your car can get you a ticket from the police.
Heck, in my state you can get arrested for wearing a mask on any other day than Halloween.

While the code isn't cleaned up, it works. If you got the resolution to 800x600, it won't quite work.
