Re: Official Online Premier Thread (aka Pilot is UP on Amazon!)
I agree with a lot of KnightINSTINCT's points. The music was intrusive, and KITT's voice needs some sort of robotic flavor. But, on the whole, it holds your interest and makes you wonder what they will do once they slow it down a bit. The good: Wall-to-wall action. Overcompensating a bit from the pi...

Re: Hasselhoff in final talks to guest star?
Well, Daniels did the Mio thing, so it's clear he's open to reprising the role in some capacity. And it's a lot easier to schedule a VO session than an onscreen shoot. If the script is strong enough and the check's big enough (and if perhaps if Hasselhoff asks him personally), why not?

Re: Hasselhoff in final talks to guest star?
If Hasselhoff says he's in for a season finale or big two-parter with the original KITT in the back nine episodes, then KR is guaranteed to get the order for the full season from NBC. NBC won't pass up on that type of ratings gold - GST knows what he's doing...

Re: The "Parking Lot Transform" - From the KR VFX Team
Well, I showed to to my six-year-year son and his eyes got big as saucers... Guess I know what's on his Christmas list now. One thing that's giving me a good feeling about this show is how much fun everyone seems to be having. This seems to be a very happy set - if that carries over to the final pro...

SciFi.com Puts New KR at #2 to be a Hit
SciFi Wire has predicted that Knight Rider 08 has the second-best chance at being a hit this fall among the new genre shows, with 5-1 odds (right behind Fringe at 2-1). Other picks: Life On Mars, 6-1; Kings 6-1; My Own Worst Enemy 7-1; True Blood 12-1; The Ex-List 15-1; and Eleventh Hour 25-1. http:...

Re: Knight Rider Primetime Preview - EPK
For me, of particular interest is the CGI transformation process. Whilst what they show here is very early in the process, it gives us a really good idea as to how they envision the vehicular changes, and whilst it seems like Transformers is most definitely the influence here, I think it can actual...

Re: Thoughts regarding K.I.T.T. evolving through new series
I think they should call the episode if & when K.I.3.T. should turn "evil" "Knight Of The Rogue" or "Rogue Knight". :karr: If they don't use "Rogue Knight" as the title for that episode they are CRAZY I tell ya, CRAZY! :kitt2: What about "Knight Gone...

Re: I'm Listening
Great to have you on board, z00story! I'm assuming a lot of the HUD's capabilities will be story-driven, so: 1) Does Michael have sunglasses or contacts that access the HUD for those times that he doesn't want the info sprayed across KITT's windshield? Something to think about - the sunglasses could...

Very cool. I like the fact that we're getting a sense of just how big and operation FLAG is. Kind of reminds me of Man From Uncle.

instead of a touch screen, why not put significant functions on the steering wheel thumb buttons, like real cars actually have for cruise control, and even radio stations. You could easily put Turbo Boost, Ski Mode, Super Pursuit/Attack Mode, Ejection Seat and whatever functions onto the steering w...

Re: 08 KR 2h movie?
I will say this again. Based on conversations with people who were there , the reason the movie clocked in at 79 minutes was because NBC would not give them the budget to make the script they commissioned. That decision was an economic one, based on their own traditional budgets for this type or pr...

Re: da Plane! da Plane!
That being said, there is absolutely NO logical reason for a car to exit a plane during take-off. Yes, it makes sense to drive in and out of a moving Semi, but a plane? They totally did it for the dramatic "cool" factor and I'll give them a free pass on that one. It's kind of silly, and t...

Re: Anyone Else?
Honestly, I think it'll be all up to William Daniels and if he's game for the new series to do a reprise. At this time, they were smart not to box themselves in and wind up kicking themselves later on when that had the time and budget to wind up the KR2000 story right.

Re: The Doorknobs
Yeah, the editing had problems, particularly considering the time restraints the incessant commercials were putting them under. For example, why do we have to see 30 seconds of the bad guys landing (jerkily) in a helicopter, THEN get out and deliver their lines? Just show the guys walking away from ...

Hmmm. Maybe the evil KI (or board members) are behind the mercenaries to recapture the technology. That sets up a cool story arch... BTW, my feeling is that Graimen was Woz to Wilton Knight's Steve Jobs. Wilton was the money and the visionary, Graimen the genius behind the scenes who made it all wor...

That Tracer is found in a Vegas Casino, and The first time we see Michael Long in the original series in a Casino as well? I like how the new KR is respecting the old. I'm picking up echoes of an even older story. We know Mike Traceur is unaware of who his father is and that he grew up with Sarah G...
