Re: Knight Rider 2008

And don't make every car in the series a Ford. Paramount did this same thing with the Viper series. Every car was Chrysler. They can't. Chrysler was invested in Viper so they supplied cars...even concept cars in the show. Ford is investing in Knight Rider, so of course they're going to advertise th...

Re: Threesome and Lesbian Scene Trash

Ford has openly expressed that they support gay rights. This has been a controversy for some time with organizations who are pro-family and anti-gay. These organizations even boycott all Ford products for this reason. The gay references were Ford advertising, and not so much related to the storyline...

Re: POLL: Grade the pilot

If it becomes a series I don't have much doubt that Michael and the original KITT (in some form, hopefully the Trans Am) will appear in an episode. I didn't like Mike's friend's involvement at all, he doesn't fit anywhere. Just because they're friends doesn't mean he has anything to contribute.

Re: 2009 proto type Trans Am

There is no prototype '09 Trans Am. Unless you're referring to the Camaro concept... Bob Lutz, from GM, has stated many times that the Firebird won't be coming back. I have a feeling that after the premier, some of you will be changing your tune about the Mustang though...

Devon and Wilton

I got to thinking about who I'd like to see play some of our beloved characters in the new KR movie. I vote for Michael Cain as Devon: http://images.starpulse.com/Photos/pv/Michael%20Caine-4.JPG and Alan Dale for Wilton Knight: http://theguidetolife.org/hosting/alan_dale.jpg Thoughts, opinions, sugg...

That one is cool, nissan makes some cars in the USA, is that one of them? If so I'd be down for it. :)
Well since it's RHD, I don't think it's made in the USA.

On that note, if you want to see some insane stunt driving on FWD cars do a YoutTube search for Saab Performance Team or Saab Stunt Team. You'll be blown away. Interesting, this clip shows the Saab cars making the rear wheels smoke, something that car enthusiasts claimed in this thread to be imposs...

Gee who was it that posted that theory that this new KITT won't have the MBS because Devon and Elizebeth weren't around and that maybe this nano-tech armor was a replacement? Hmmm let me think here...oh yeah...it was me. Nice article, thanks for posting it. It doesn't really say much more then I di...

Re: told you guys it would be a hybrid :)

ok, well, there are basically two different ways to do a hybrid vehicle: (1) the way the US Navy used to do submarines before nuclear power: both the diesel engine and the electric motor are on the drivetrain, and you can switch between them. While submerged, the electric motor runs the boat, but w...

What gadgets are in your replicas?

I'm in the process of planning and designing my Kitt inspired replica and I'm looking to add some special touches to it that'll wow a crowd. I've got a few extra headlight motors lying around and was thinking of hooking those up to, say, the trunk or hood and have them open with the touch of a butto...

Re: told you guys it would be a hybrid :)

Personally, I was expecting the new KITT to run on cold fusion or one of those hydrogen methods. Even the old KITT ran on liquid hydrogen. So I am actually a little surprised that it's a hybrid. And a V8 hybrid IS a little ridiculous, lol. It's a Ford advertisement...there still has to be some real...

Well I hope you have fifty eight thousand bucks lying around. Because thats what you are going to shell out for one of those. I had posted the Riviera on another thread too. It is definatly a great looking Buick and I think it will serve well as the next LaCrosse, after looking at it more though I don't see it as KITT.

Re: told you guys it would be a hybrid :)

In the teaser they mention solar hybrid technology, nothing about an electric motor. Hybrid doesn't always mean electric. Of course we don't know realistic specs on KITT, other than the Popular Mechanic's joke ad, but the GT500 KR has a 550HP gasoline motor. Perhaps the solar power would be to run a...

Well I started on the headlight mod on Kitt today. I don't expect to jump into his 'transformation' until spring, but I thought I'd do some small stuff. I picked up a headlamp at Vatozone with the approximate dimensions I'd need. Sylvania PN: H4666XV and some JB Weld....which won't be used until eve...
