Sorry Cloudkitt, i was mistaken. I checked a pic I have of the pods and you were right about the position of the eject right button. I was looking at the pics of the dash that are made by the guy who did the pic of the dash on the season 1 dvd.

I think SPM was really cool. The original KITT is great but SPM is still ok. there is some footage in that video that you never see in the series. I don't remember seeing KITT in SPM in the fog or the pilot voice modulator doing that countdown sequence you see for a split second.
