I'm not saying that creativity is absolutely positively necessary for intelligence, but generally, intelligence at the average human level is capable of some basic inventiveness. In fact, even most who are considered mentally impaired, or "retarded" can show stunning creativity at times. I...

You can make custom voice modulators to your liking by following a few simple design principles. The easiest way to power it is by the voltage to the speakers. Just run wires from both of a speaker's terminals to the unmarked terminals of a bridge rectifier (available from Radio Shack). Then, run wi...

KITT was/is not full AI, in the sense of being comparable to humans. He couldn't change his own programming, he didn't have a choice about his life's purpose - that was decided by the foundation - and while FLAG obviously loved him, they never put him on the same level as humans...not even Bonnie, h...

That's interesting, nivek. I think the MBS, the turboboost and his super speeds are some of the most doable features of KITT. I think it's possible to have AI that reminds one of KITT, but not AI totally on his level. Even so, remember that KITT isn't really full AI. KARR was closer to that, but wit...

Cool chunk of info. Of course, with open wheel racing teams, you have many fewer surface irregularies than with the road, but that's still pretty cool. For the road, ground effects with continuous ride height adjustment could be very effective.

Well, either you're here or you're not. In any case, I didn't attack you, and you shouldn't come to turn a disagreement into a battle, then blame it on me. I didn't say anything bad about you. I don't deserve you coming back here just to jab at me once more. I defended you. No, I wasn't the first to...

Well, I think it was meant primarily for recon, but it could also be mounted with weapons for a sniper mission, or whatever else they would want, I reckon.

You're younger than me, all right, and it's showing. You have to be careful how you say things on here. If you have a problem with someone, address them by name, please, rather than inference. That way you avoid a lot of problems. Sure, character relates to contributions, but her contributions weren...

As the front air dam pushes air out of the way, it creates a partial vacuum beneath the car, which helps create downforce at high speeds and aids traction. In theory, the side ground effects help keep a sort of "seal" that helps maintain that vacuum, for maximum effect. At 100, 200 or 300m...

First, if you weren't talking to me, why was my name the only one mentioned in your post? Immediately following my post, you say, "I've seen just about enough of this. Ridiculous comments like that show just how unappreciative people around here can be." then immediately following that, yo...

Thanks Adam, I appreciate your appreciation for Oldsmobiles, heh. They're super tough, dependable cars. Oh well...I'm keeping mine for a future rebuild, complete with supercharger, hopefully. Mwwwwwhahahahahah!

Listen, before you get on a high horse against me - I didn't badmouth her, and I didn't take up for anyone who did. Now, it's one thing to defend someone, but it's another thing to chastise people because they can't or don't choose to tune into Knight Radio. When people undertake such projects, they...

I forgot to mention earlier that the original reason for the cowl hood was for the placement of a turbo, but when Pontiac decided not to use the turbo, they kept the cowl, and just mated it to the air induction system.

"Did you make all the custom body parts yourself?"

I hope that means you thought the car was real. :) I sure wish it were, but it's all digital picture doctoring with MSPaint. I'm glad you like the rear. A lot of people aren't crazy about it, but I personally like it quite a bit.

I agree, Rusti. That comment was in bad taste, unnecessary, and it raised my blood temperature for a moment, but it has nothing to do with how many people listen to Knight Radio, or the fact that KI pays for her sites. I've personally tried everything I can to get Knight Radio on my computer, but it...

Knight Industries 3000, I like your thinking. There would have to be some changes in KITT to make him practical for use in reality. That aside, here's my concept for a new KITT, along with a few other things on my page:

I think you'd need sensors better than lasers. Lasers are very good for very specific measurements, but to create moving 3d computer images for computer guided navigation, you need transmitters and receivers of several different types that can illuminate a wide area (invisibly, if possible). Lasers ...

This particular cowl induction is meant to bring fresh, cool air into the engine under high demand conditions. It is specifically mated to the engine's air intake. Other forms of cowl induction actually allow the hot air to escape from beneath the hood. I personally prefer the first type.

A car that drives itself isn't too far away. Just give me a few years, hehe...seriously, though, making a car drive itself isn't too far away at all. AI is a totally different issue in many respects. However, it would need a body, and a car would serve quite well. I personally don't believe in the f...

Listening to you guys talk about way back when really does make one get a bit reminiscent. The first KR site I ever remember seeing was Big Jim's tribute, but the second was none other than El Simso's Wonder Knight Rider site. Those were the times... Having been starved of all things Knight Rider at...
