Arr, you're making more sense now, open the bonnet of the two next to each other and the scanner lens is angled on the old one, but verticle on the new one! Is that what you noticed? P.S. how can I put a photo on here to show you? I think you nailed it. That's probably the reason why they're not ex...

I've noticed the difference between the 1st and 2nd version scanners when they are turned on. My 1st version is clearer than the ones in the stores right now. But if your copies are also clear, good for you guys. You're lucky. It may just be a small difference after all (but I definitely did notice ...

Pics of an unpainted model? I'm afraid not, all the pics that I have seen in the internet are painted models. All of them have the 1st season 2-TV dash.

A bit off-topic here...I've just gone through several toy shops in my area and saw several ERTL KITTs. Every one of them is the second version, the ones without the orange foglights. For my taste, I still prefer the first version with the orange lights since they look nicer without the black dots in...

We are veering off topic here.I wanted to see pics of the car completed. This model I think doesn't need paint.Anyone have any pics of this exact model complete? The model pictured is molded in black and chrome with clear plastic windshields. If you select to build it without paint, the exterior wil...

I was wondering if anyone knows if I can find any of these models at a local store or hobby shop or something? The AMT/ERTL reissue model kits are very hard to find in model/toy shops now. They were released way back in 2002 and were quickly bought by hobbyists and collectors/modelers. The internet...

My MPC KITT is still unbuilt so I can't send you any pics of it yet. However here's a link that may help you. If you scroll down towards the bottom of the page, you'll get to know the different kinds of KITT models that were released since 1983 up to the ERTL reissue in 2002. Link: http://www.smalla...

ACTUALLY. just so you arent misled bythe above incorrect statement, you can purchase black outs for the curved lights. just go to any custom car shop and they can order themfor you. or you can probably find them on ebay. i think they cost around $100. they look pretty sweet. I don't think I'm misle...

The curved tail lights came out for the Firebird in 1985. It's not possible to attach blackout plates on them. You would have to replace them first with 1982-1983 (or possibly 1984) type tail lights then the blackouts would fit.

You definitely need a new digital camera...those pics don't do your conversions justice!

Anyway, good job! Good luck with the upcoming SPM conversion, we'll all be waiting for it hopefully with better pics (even my phone camera produces better results  ).

Most of them don't have the original boxes, so you won't be paying a king's ransom. They usually go for $25 to $75.00 depending on t...

Don't be too sore with your old man, Turboman. He has his reasons for not going, probably financial or for safety's sake. Besides, he did give you a bunch of cash last Christmas, right? Don't be too hard on him.

There is one instance when I think KITT turbo-boosted rather strangely (or rather impossibly). It was when KITT was trapped inside a car-crusher/compactor. It was apparent that KITT was pinned down horizontally by the thick steel of the compactor. How KITT was able to achieve a diagonal trajectory (...

I have to say I do miss the 'mentor-figure' in modern tv series. There was something about Devon in KR and Adama in BG that made everything feel very secure. I missed the role in TKR and I think the Adama in the new BG series isn't strong or leadery enough, and I've heard they're shooting him... I ...
