As far as the actors considered for the role go, on the E: True Hollywood Story about the life and times of David Hasselhoff, Glen A. Larson states that they screen tested Don Johnson, Steven Bauer, and Hasselhoff himself. I think Don Johnson would have been a great choice if they hadn't gone with D...

I loved Michael and Devon's reunion at the house. It was great to see the two characters together again, and the affection they had for one another (although I couldn't quite believe they hadn't been in contact for ten years). I loved having Kitt back again (even though he wasn't really the Kitt we ...

"Also in the U.K., soap opera actor Dan Paris (Neighbours) told a radio station there that Revolution Studios is considering going with an unknown in their big-screen version of Knight Rider and may cast him in the role instead of Vin Diesel, whose name has been bandied about." I for one s...

Thanks, KI. Checking it out now.
BTW, there's another image of that model with Hasselhoff on The Topaz Connection page at the Archive (Promotional Pic, top left).

I disagree with that, Sarfraz. The only way K.I.T.T. stood out in the 1980s was that he was a new sports car (and had a funky little red light in his nose). But thousands of people in the States were driving them. It wasn't like he was supposed to be a concept car or anything -- he was always intend...

Wonder what Mr. Cowell would make of K.I.T.T.'s singing efforts in "Knight Song." Or even Michael's with Class Action in "Let it Be Me"....

As far as the movie goes, I'd love to see Hasselhoff in the driver's seat again as Michael Knight. I think I've already established that in earlier posts, and the whole Star Trek, James Bond, middle-aged argument (and Neil, you raise some good points). I'm also with some of the others on the subject...

personally, I'd rather see an aging but still capable Hasselhoff driving Kitt than some pop-out film star of today. I've got to agree with that. I've always been an advocate for Hasselhoff still playing the part. I mean, why not? It worked for the Star Trek movies, and the characters ageing actuall...

Excellent work Sarah!
A very neat little story, and you nailed the characters perfectly! Now, hurry up and write another one!

DH salary?
The episode "Forget Me Not" was the most-viewed episode in the UK, not the US. This was back in early 1983 when we only had four TV channels, but the remarkable thing about it is the fact that it beat the top-rated soaps that particular week, coming in ahead of "Coronation Street.&quo...

UK News Article -- "Kitt" joins Sussex Police...
SQUAWKIE TALKIE CAR Sunday Mirror, March 31, 2002 A Knight Rider-style car which can read number plates, take photos and even talk has been unveiled by police. Nicknamed "Kitt" after the car in the Eighties TV show, Sussex police's new Crime Car is the first of its type in Britain. The £14...
