Re: KI3T's Miraculous Healing
I was pondering a fanfic and couldn't answer: "How did KI3T become totally repaired in that ditch?" The nanotech repaired what parts were damaged. I think (as speculated above) that KI3T's form is mostly malleable nanotech, and not more modular parts to be installed like in a real life ca...

Re: KI3T's Miraculous Healing
Sure, its escapist entertainment.... But there are limits -- you have to at least believe some of these things are possible. The truck thing still doesn't make sense. Neither does a fully functional AI in 2008 that is able to understand and even express emotions - yet I accept it for the premise of...

Re: Common Sense Media: Knight Rider 2008
They didn't like KRTOS or the new one. And can we be real? Deanna has been in her underwear once and then in a bikini once so far. I hardly call that egregious. Yes there's titilation aplenty in this series, but I really wish reviewers would not resort to incorrect hyperbole to make their points. If...

Re: Smith Cho vs rest of the Cast....?
You've hit upon my point, 2 actors have not appeared in every episode so far but have still been credited on the 'intro' whereas, Smith has been in every one AND served a purpose (im struggling with the Ravai character to find a purpose for her, surely the role of "FBI mission assigner" c...

Re: If only the Camaro Black could have been KITT!
But to me this show is just as bad as the rest on TV these days and the mustang does not work at all, what fun show? There is very little plot on this version. I'm curious, just what would you add to the plot? Between Mike's past, Knight Research's "unofficial" status, the love relationsh...

Re: Blame it on McCain?
No one factor is to blame. Television ratings are down in general, long before the election was an issue. If you read about how many viewers shows were getting a decade ago, the numbers have decreased significantly. I just read that the last episode of "X-Files" had roughly 13 million view...

Considering terrorists generally try to hurt innocent people, I'd say that's exactly what Mike and KITT are doing.steventje wrote:4. Michael and KITT are used as an anti-terrorist group. Where are the good old days that Michael and Kitt were sent on a mission to save innocent people.

Re: repeating comands and such
I simply take it as an aspect of the way KI3T is programmed. By repeating commands, he confirms whether or not those commands were executed. So if Mike tells KI3T to initiate transformation, and he doesn't respond quickly, Mike will know something is up without having to sit there and wait wondering...

Re: Smith Cho vs rest of the Cast....?
The "title" of being a series regular or a guest star largely depends on the contract type the actor has set up with the show. A regular is contracted for a certain amount of episodes, normally the majority of the season (but not necesarily all) and make more than guest stars. Guest stars ...

Re: Are we as 'fanatical' as "trekkies"???
I think it would be very difficult for KR fans to be anywhere near as hardcore as Trek fans, partly due to the sheer volume of Trek material out there. KR has two past series and two TV movies, and now we have KR08. Star Trek has tons of movies and hundreds of episodes, not to mention novels, comics...

Re: Ben Silverman Article
Can't disagree with the article. I've heard his style is deliberately unconventional and the way KR was launched really shows someone who believes in the power of multimedia. KR being in theaters (with "First Looks" before movies and the cardboard stands), its media blitz in print and TV b...

Re: Should KITT and KI3T be Seperate Entities?
Thematically it makes perfect sense for KI2T and KI3T to be separate entities. KR08 is very much about a new generation continuing the fight of the original crew. It makes sense that KI3T would be a successor to KI2T just as Mike is Michael's successor. As for continuities, I think being a "Tra...

I love both of the themes. They both give me the same tingly feeling when they begin, but they each take on very different personalities as the song goes along. They're each clearly products of their time, and I love that.

Re: Ep 13 and ideas for future...
I personally would not want to see Devon recast. I'm open to them either saying he's retired somewhere or that he passed away (naturally, not the idiotic way he went in KR 2000). Edward's performance was spot on for the character, and I really don't want to see anyone imitating him. As for KITT, I d...

To be perfectly honest, it doesn't surprise me that the show is still getting slated by the media, because at the moment it's "the thing to do," and as such, everyone wants their fifteen minutes of Knight Rider slapping fame. Matt Agreed. It's become fashionable to even slam KR in article...

I'm really happy with this episode. Like "Hard Day's Knight" everything just came together very well. I was very happy to see Mike and KITT being the focus of the ep with Sarah and gang back at the SCC doing what they're supposed to do - support Mike but not take over his missions. The int...
