Is it just me or is the UMD a step backwards for video? To me it seems like a great medium to hold software for a new handheld gaming device (small and compact, perfect for portable gaming), but why does Sony feel the need to integrate it into every aspect of out lives? I have a DVD player so why am...

^^That sucks about your door, man. My project is on hold at the moment as well so KITT will be off to the storage facility by the months end. Won't have time to start again till winter. New quarter starting up next month and I still havn't finished the millions of household projects that I've starte...

I'll be getting a 3/4 nose here soon so I'm tempted to have my roof chopped since I have the dreaded incorrect hardtop. I'm researching how to get the tonneau cover for it. Right now to my knowledge the only place advertising them is Copper and I think Mark. One'll rip you off the other will bankrup...

Saw it Wednesday and I loved it. In fact if the orginal TV show was like this I would have watched it religiously back then and have all the seasons on my DVD shelf instead of Knight Rider right now. It was no more crude than any other film out these days. My only complaint is the casting of Roscoe ...

I recall a flashing scanner widget type thing. It was posted here years back from a member overseas, I believe. It didn't work with Knofabulator, and was a stand-alone program. You could set the size and speed of the flash and it just hung out in the background of your desktop. It was designed for W...

Yeah, like Sam said these were dealer options till 91, I beleive when GM offically brought the convertable back. Also a lot of dealers had hardtops converted into t-tops by local shops, because factory t-tops were not to plentiful during the early days of the 3rd gen. Not to sure about the quality o...

Dumb widget question
Has anyone done, or know of a widget for Konfabulator that simulates KITT's voice display? I think something like that would be awesome singing in tune with my music in the corner of my desktop.
Got the idea by stumbling upon a HAL 9000 widget today.

My 92 has more hp with it's V6, but you got me on torque. The early 3rd gens were not known for power. Nice find, however. If you don't mind me asking, how much? Edit: I believe the Recaro option was available till 85. The PMD option was not I believe. Could be wrong. I recall reading that overstock...

I'll be seeing it next week. When I was a younling we only had one TV and I could only watch one show a night and that's when KR and Dukes were both on Fridays I believe. Well needless to say you can see which show I chose. Never was a huge fan of the Dukes, watched a few shows later on SpikeTV but ...

Your right about a car collector versus a fan of the show. I personally would love to own a Chip Foose orginal some day (would love to see what he could do with a 3rd gen Camaro) and would really take anything that could be documented as being associated with him if I had the funds. People are the s...

I had a red Hot Wheels one and a special edition gold vacuum plated one that came with decals and real rubber tires. Gave them to my brother a while back. cool scanner!! I've seen that style avertised on eBay a lot. I still have a JC one minus the control box that I'm tempted to mount on my Honda (j...

I actually had a KR dream last week. I was going to a small town who had this destruction derby thing for charity and these good old red neck boys always crashed it and kept the winning for themselves. I enetered KITT and we won of course and that upset the mean old rednecks. The rednecks managed to...

I think you misunderstood me. It's just my personal opinion that most fans would like seeing the old '82. It doesn't mean it's fact, and evidently it's not. I'm not calling anyone who doesn't agree with me not a true fan. My bad. I missread what you said. I'd go see the movie if they used the old K...

The cameo idea makes the most sense for the 3rd gen car. Like Bond's old Aston Martin showing up in Goldeneye. I just think sticking with the old car severely limits the potential of any new KR franchise. Futuristic action and 23 year old car doesn't really seem like it'll draw in the crowds. We sea...

Well I guess I'm not a real fan (odd after 23 years of viewing and owning a replica  ) but I think it's time for something new. Using the old KITT would seal it's fate as a Starsky and Hutch/Dukes of Hazard 2-hour running 80s joke. Didn't KITT have internet access in the show? He had to have s...
