Re: You know... the pilot was better than I remembered!!
I have a shrine set up for the pilot. It contains the Emmy version and two copies from fye, I'd have three but someone was in desperate need. When they officially release it I'll have that version too. Oh.. and then because of it I joined some site called knightrideronline and haven't shut up since...

Re: Live Discussion Thread - Knight of the Zodiac
Well, that's exactly my problem with it. The bonding is fine, it should be like that, but that line was completly forced. Like the writers are saying: 'Now we'll show you how great the bond between them is!', and shoving it into our faces. I actually thought the episode had a far better moment betw...

Re: Live Discussion Thread - Knight of the Zodiac
I certainly prefer it to a green-screened chase (and by chase I mean people from the SSC talk to him while we hear stock engine revving noises) which ultimately ends up with KITT not being fast enough anyway.

Re: Live Discussion Thread - Knight of the Zodiac
While I'm not exactly sure what that means, even if they did, the chase was REAL, minimal green screen, actually driving the car in choreographed maneuvers. And ripping out the rear axle was sweet (and, did I mention real!).

Re: Live Discussion Thread - Knight of the Zodiac
Really? In regards to Knight of the Living Dead, I thought that was the perfect example of how an actionless episode can be good. I'm not sure why you think it was less about KITT and Mike, I think this episode explored that more than any other episode yet. KITT was hurt and distrustful of both Char...

I STILL don't understand why KARR looks like a Mustang when KITT said "...and he was not a Mustang." It's weird. And I really don't think I like the robot thing...but we'll see.

Re: Discussion on Pontiac appearance
Neither company could stop them from doing it. (well I guess Ford could always threaten to cut funding, but they couldn't stop it for any other reason.) First of all, the Trans Am is no longer in production. Second of all, the most recent Trans Am didn't look like that. Third of all, the old show di...

Yeah, Mike had an ID with his picture on it. Capricorn just had Virgo's on file like he did fingerprints and it didn't match.

Re: Is Sponsorship part of what's killing this show?
It is a little ridiculous the way it beats you over the head with it, but I don't think it's killing it. Like steven said, the show's doing a fine job of that on its own. It does bug me that you can almost unfailingly tell which cars will be destroyed because they aren't Fords, and that's kinda dumb...

Re: Live Discussion Thread - Knight of the Zodiac
Wait till the reboot I think the arcing as you say will be more pronounced as it will be about Michael Knight and KITT and the characters will be less so the stories will get better.... :kittside: Though now they're getting rid of Graiman for some bizarre reason, and I don't understand that either....

Re: Live Discussion Thread - Knight of the Zodiac
It's all rather frustrating, they should change the name of this show to Squandered Potential. Seriously, it really does have the makings of a good show. A cast of super smart, [for the most part] well acted, attractive characters, and an intelligent high-tech, super fast (alledgedly) car working ag...

"After the holidays"?!?! Like...after Christmas? What is this? Another decent episode, still no car chase, still no stunts. And for the second week in a row, it's a good plot that is almost completely crowded out but these stupid relationships. And seriously, I like boobs as much as the ne...

Then of course there was the fiber glass shells they made for the stunts also, mainly Turbo Boost... Which is a lot cheaper and it does seem like they could do something similar. Only thing is that I dunno how many stunt people these days would want to actually do the stunt seeing how it wrecked th...

Did the old show really have that much more of a budget? They had at least two legitimate chase sequences per episode.Knight-Armen wrote:Regarding the camera angles during a chase scene, I noticed that too. Their budget is limited, which sucks!!!

I actually was going to mention that in the other thread Faithful. I remember thinking it was a big deal in the old one when Devon and KITT spoke, because it was kinda rare. And I thought that was interesting in this last episode that KITT was having a conversation with someone else. (That said, I h...

Re: Favorite Quotes
Actually, I remembered one I like better.
In A Hard Hay's Night, when Mike finds KITT disguised as the cop car, he kisses the car as he gets in. To which KITT responds:
"You're display of affection is appreciated, but not necessary."

Re: Graiman channels Wilton Knight
How much do you think people are paid to do that? But yeah, I really can't fathom their reasoning for getting rid of him...it's bizarre. He hasn't had much of a purpose in these episodes, but that's because Torres was there. Get rid of the Feds, and he's in charge, he was the one that said "I'm...

Plus, giving KITT weapons has only made the fact that they rarely ever use them even worse. Like in the first episode, where he just SITS THERE while that woman kicks Mike's ass and takes the code guy. That has bugged me. I didn't even know he had weapons back then, but the least KITT could have do...
