I think it's a cafe exclusive to the US. I don't think we (UK) have it. Skav It's not exclusive to the US, it's taking over the world, Pinky! Sorry. No, there's one in Bradford, Leeds ... and that's just near me. The Bradford outlet is upstairs from Waterstone's. A perfect combination - the smell o...

Up with same-old same-old, down with change! I think KITT suits a car body. Cars are powerful and yet ordinary. A plane requires a runway (or at least space for a run-up, with STOL!), and the pilot has to abide by time-constricting rules (flight plans, etc). It's been mentioned on this board that be...

Happy Birthday, Skav! Sorry I forgot, but if I can't even remember my half-sister's, it doesn't bode well, does it?

Try not to get too blathered when you get around to celebrating :)

It's been so long since I saw that episode. During the explosion is the demon face still in the fire or was it cut? It's in the version I have, pilfered from Sci-Fi (UK). I like that film - the characters balance the B-movie horror plot. It's humorous too - I love the Native American deputy and his...

It's tough to defeat cars which are self-regenerating with demonic possession. But considering that Christine and The Car were pretty much only as strong and fast as the actual cars they possessed, I don't think KITT would have to much trouble taking care of them. His biggest problem would trying t...

Small world eh? I was the "Miami Vice" fan who posted this over at MV org Don Johnson wouldn't have worked as Michael Knight. David Hasslehoff was perfect for the part. But is that only because David is the only actor we know as Michael? It's like saying that somebody really suits their name, only ...

I only ever watched 'Mouth of the Snake' once, but I remember thinking that the characters had a convincing quality about them. Bar the guy's trampoline ("tra-map-poline!"). And I don't think David Hasselhoff was too bothered about losing screen time, on honeymoon as he was! So no, I can't say that ...

Veering further off-topic, but with regards to Don Johnson and his TV dress sense - what was with Nash Bridges? It's crept onto the Saturday afternoon schedule over here, and the clothes in that are more 'pastiche' than 'pastel'. Scary.

Slightly off topic, please humour me, but - what's the hierarchy with American law enforcement? Sheriffs and deputies, standard police officers, state police, federal law enforcement - even Texas Rangers! I think I get the state and federal representation, but the rest is slightly baffling. How do y...

What law dictates that the celebrity has to resemble David? Why can't FLAG just search for any old operative that fits the original category of a Police officer or whatever else there was. He doesn't even have to have the last name of Knight really. I was just going to bring this point up again, Ma...

Bonnie did seem more credible, or rather, Patricia McPherson did, in the role. I've read a couple of those old interviews with Rebecca Holden, and it seems to me that if the powers that be had just let her put more of 'Rebecca' into 'April', then her character wouldn't have been so objectionable. Th...

BTW, I haven't been around to harass you lately -- how's that next story coming? Ah, I've lost my Knight Rider character 'hat', and found my 'To Kill A Mockingbird' groove again. That's one very industrious fan fiction writer - I feel suitably shamed! I'm obviously from the opposite end of the spectrum to Scott - 'What's wrong with the old? Embrace the old! Fear the new!' - but the interview was very enlightening all the same. It's great to read that most writers have the sa...

I don't think KITT had fingerprint scanners on the door handles. He would just use his regular "eyes". If he knew the person, he'd let them in, if he didn't, he would not. That's how the fake Bonnie was able to gain access in Killer KITT. If KITT checked fingerprints, she would not have been able t...

Heh. That's actually a pretty good one, DK, and from the pilot too. Some continuity might have been nice, but probably too much to expect for an action adventur...

KITT did not want to be more human, with the fullest level of desire to which he was capable? I defy you to prove that with reason. KITT is the programming or whatever you want to call it that is the personality of the computer. It is what makes the Knight Industries Two Thousand more of a "he" than an "it".
