Sudden Resurgence......

At first it seems like a sudden resurgence, but if you look back it has been a slow, constant build-up. Keep in mind that we first heard about the new Knight Rider project over a year ago (when it looked like it would be a series). Before that we had a new T-shirt released, the Matchbox KITT car, an...

Check out a review of a preview version of the Knight Rider game:

They basically liked it, although they seem to be saying that it's not anything ground-breaking.

headlights

I had some work done on my car ('88 Firebird)about a month ago, and asked them to adjust one of the headlights (it was a bit crooked.) After they "fixed" it, the driver-side headlight started sticking. It's basically like a lazy eye; the one headlight flips up about 2 seconds after the other. Drives...

Should KARR come back in the movie?

How about this: Make the movie entirely about KARR; don't even have KITT in it. They could tweak the backstory a bit and make a movie about what happened when Wilton first activated KARR. It wouldn't sell a lot of tickets, but it would be fun to see. I enjoy movies where the "hero" is a villian. Mike

Kitt or Kitty?

I think people are ignoring SadArticle's question... it wasn't whether or not KITT could have or should have been female, but if KITT, as is, exhibited truly male or female characteristics. In other words, if you took all of KITT's dialog and replaced it with a female voice, would KITT make sense as...

My latest prediction about who/what will be in the movie:

Josh Hartnett, in the new GTO. With a candlestick.

What car to use in movie?

I suspect that they will keep the new car a bit of a "public secret". The SPM car may not have been "officially" displayed until Juggernaut aired, but how many of us went through the teaser commercial frame-by-frame and had a pretty good idea what the car looked like? Assuming that they will be rele...

Another dubious mention in Starlog...

I think you guys are failing to see the humor in all this. They "warned" us about xXx, but everyone knew it was going to be a huge crowd-pleaser. I'm sure Knight Rider will do very well at the box office, but it does beg to be made fun of.

After all, it IS a movie about a talking car.

The missing bullet

This reminds me of how in Knightmares, Michael is so impressed that KITT's analyzer can identify where an expensive wallet was purchased; in reality, KITT just looked at the card inside. The Foundation could have just looked in Michael's wallet. And even if Michael was working undercover, he probabl...

Your version definitely makes a lot more sense KITT. But it's just doesn't sound that funny to me.

Online translators still have a way to go. Something about "KITT? Should we get one more drink?" "How can I drive again?" Here's my guess as to how the humor would translate into english: Michael: "One more for the road KITT?" KITT: "You better drive" But I'll leave it to the linguists out there. Mike

Good car chases

Here's MY ruling. Stop it.

Here's the test people should ask themselves before posting:

Are you pointing out errors to help clarify something on the board for other members? Or are you looking for an excuse to point out someone else's mistake?

First one good. Second one bad.

OK, I finally have to ask:

Good car chases

One thing we've learned is that TV has sped up alot over the last 2 decades. The Knight Rider chase scenes have about 42 cuts in a 2 minute sequence. TKR (and other movies) had up to 88.

Just a video geek observation.

Knight Rider Computer Game

Being intentionally vague, a friend of mine who went to E3 (I think that's the name if the videogame convention) and knows someone who works for one of the gaming magazines says that Knight Rider isn't getting a lot of buzz. They expect it to be a minor release. We need to surprise them.

I gotta disagree with you there DK. The late 60s early 70s Trans Ams were definitive Musclecars. But don't take my word for it, I looked it up: musclecars.net lists the '69 Firebird as one of their Top 10 cars. And musclecargarage.com lists 5 Firebird among their 50 Fastest Musclecars of all time (a...
