Re: LIve Discussion Thread - Knight Fever

Hi. Newb here [to the board anyway]. I've been over at the NBC KR board since the launch of the 2008 series, and I learned of your site through one of the other members. Anyway, I really enjoyed this episode. Good mix of action and humor. And as far as the plot went, I think it was a good move to m...

Re: LIve Discussion Thread - Knight Fever

Well, I liked it- a lot more than I thought i would. lots of good stunt work, We finally got to see KI3T use his pulse cannon- (more of that, please) and EVERYBODY had something to do in this. The more I see of Charles and Carrie, the more I'm going to miss them. KARR was mentioned- apparently Billy...

Re: Supporting the series / Supporting the franchise

Lost Knight brought up a very good point: "No Knight Rider is better than bad Knight Rider". And I agree with him. But I don't think we have "bad Knight Rider" here. We've had some bad episodes, but I think the show still has potential. Team Knight Rider really wasn't worth savi...

Re: reboot/retool info in the December 15 issue of TV Guide

Why? They're going back to the idea of generally helping the little guy, I doubt we'll be getting any "save the hottie of the week's farm" type episodes or anything like that, but they're not going to go out stopping terrorist in every episode. Plus focus is being put more on Mike and KIT...

i was interested in the terrorist angle, until I heard it was going to be a a "Speed" rip off. can't say I'm terribly interested in that.

I hate spoilers and never read them, but now i wish I asked more lol! *Sue roams around set with her eyes closed and her fingers in her ears* la la la I guess we'll all have to wait for the answer to that one. I did see a short previs from the KARR episode and trust me it's awesome, it works. Gee, ...

Re: KARR continuity

Truthfully, I don't know what Will Arnett sounds like, so I can't "picture" him as the voice of KITT. Val Kilmer is growing on me, but if there is a second season of KR, and he does decide to run for governor of new mexico, who will they get to replace him?

Re: KARR continuity

PheonixZero said it best. Using KARR's name and having it NOT be the same KARR from TOS was a deliberate bait-and-switch. It's pathetic, it's stupid, it's wrong. If you're not going to give a damn about continuity and rewrite it whenever you feel like it, than don't do a sequel series. Start from s...

Re: I saw the new KARR

Two things: The pilot movie that aired in February is NOT canon for the series. Gary Scott Thompson has been absolutely clear about that. And even though the new series DOES acknowledge that there was an original KITT that was a Trans Am, that does NOT automatically mean they acknowledge a Trans Am...

Re: KARR continuity

Well, I've said elsewhere, that I'd prefer this show had been a reimagining" rather than a 10 year continuation, and KARR being a prototype of KI3T would make more sense. because you have that other guy, and that other pesky car that had a rather long history with FLAG that happened AFTER KARR ...

Re: Tuesday set visit

You know, I was starting to wonder if after the reboot, mike would have to go on the run or something, to keep KITT safe, but i was wondering how they were going to justify keeping the others around, I'm kind of glad to hear the KITTcave will still be around, but now I'm really curious about the reb...

Re: Poll: NBC should cancel Knight Rider to make room for Leno

I don't see how Jay Leno's new show would be interfering with Knight Rider at all. He'll still be host of The Tonight Show for another year, with his new show rumored to possibly premiere next Fall. Knight Rider first has to clear the hurdle of being renewed for a second season (and recent comments...

Re: Knight Rider Season Reduced - from 22 to 17

Well, i know NBC is cutting costs all over the place, but there's something hinky about that statement. I also suspect we aren't going to get much in the way of slam bang stunts for the rest of the season- so I'm going to propose a question to all of you; what would you be willing to accept to keep ...

Re: Living quarters at the SSC.

In one episode, KITT asked Sarah was sleeping at the SCC that night, implying that she had another place to live. I'm sure Charles kept his house, and Carrie her beach house- Mike probably moved from Vegas into the SCC.

Re: Knight Rider Season Reduced - from 22 to 17

If it reeked of executive meddling, how come NO ONE (that i know of) took a look at the episodes and told GST to Tone down the T&A? does NBC not know/care what the family hour means? oh, wait- you answered my question.

Re: Knight Rider Season Reduced - from 22 to 17

You know, I'm really starting to get tired of all the people who come on here claiming that the only way to save the show is to bring David Hasselhoff on board. I was never a big fan of his the first time around, and frankly, I'm not chomping at the bit to see him come on here now.

Re: Uh...guys...bad news

The initial run was 13, then NBC ordered four more scripts which was followed by going ahead and ordering the full back nine to make it 22 episodes. Now, if this is true, they've gone back to only those four they ordered or something to that effect. Hopefully those seven (10-17) are good and NBC is...

Re: Uh...guys...bad news

Well, I wasn't sure we were going to get 22 episodes anyway, if the actor's strike went through. I can't say I'm really surprised by this- NBC is just cutting their losses.
