Re: KI3T's new transformation

Hmm, this went a little off the topic I specified... Regardless, I'll join in. As for my original topic, Faithful Car KRO noticed it. I couldn't tell what was different, as they didn't show as much of the hood in the transformation this time (the camera rotated around it). Watching again, I'm not su...

Re: Live Discussion - Don't Stop The Knight

The tone of this episode was a lot more serious, yet the humor was in the right place. I loved it. I've watched it twice more on Hulu and I realize that a major change is the music - this had a score, some really suspenseful music that set the mood. Great choice of composition there, especially the ...

Triss, how did it go that night? Did you make it home safely? I hear that traffic on the lava fields is a real killer after 5 PM.

KI3T's new transformation

I'd made a post about this in the Live Discussion thread, but it got lost somehow. I don't know what happened. When I watched the new episode last night, I noticed that KI3T's transformation back into normal mode from Attack Mode looked a little different - simplified a bit. I really liked it, but I...

Re: How can KITT defeat the monter that KARR is now?

It's probably going to be a combination of things, if they can fit it into the allotted time. KI3T and KARR will probably have an AI vs. AI battle to see who can hack whom, while they're physically fighting or whatever. KI3T is gonna take a *?$# of damage, and will probably have to target a weak spo...

Re: Behind-the-Scenes of KARR's design at MasterKey

It's always struck me as odd how KI3T displays everything on his windshield, even if no one is actually in the car to see it. The audience is in the car to see it, and that's what matters. TOS did the same thing when KITT would track Michael's location on his scanners when he was evading the bad gu...

Re: The Knight Rider 2008 Positive Feedback Thread

Never posted in here. Realized that I like:

-Mike and KI3T's dynamic
-The spokeless rims in attack mode. These are closer to the original and in my opinion, look bulletproof. I think they should be default for all forms of KI3T, especially if they end up making them black.

If Attack Mode was called Pursuit Mode...

....would you like it better? I was thinking about this after seeing some clips of TOS season 4 Super Pursuit Mode. From what I gather, some people really liked this mode. (I haven't watched season 4 yet, but I don't really like what I've seen about SPM.) KI3T basically has two modes - Normal Mode a...

Re: KI3T's license plate

It would also make sense since Kitt's probably an unregistered vehicle - no need for six or seven digits. However, that design does look a little plain... Actually...thinking about it, why not a graphic license plate? Instead of KNIGHT or KR, maybe just the chess piece, or something. A gold Knight o...

Re: Mike and KI3T's Dynamic

Wow! I thought about starting a thread like this last night but I didn't, and lo and behold, here it is. I too like their dynamic. It's a little different from the original but I think it still works in its own right. Val Kilmer is a good personality for KI3T and honestly, KI3T is the perfect "...

Re: KI3T and Self-Programming

I thought that he removed it himself, but you're right, it did happen while he was being repaired....so yeah, maybe he didn't program himself. I do remember the scene where he had the conflicting directives and was attacked because he hesistated (rocket to the chest, ouch!) but I also don't remember...

Re: The Knight Rider 2008 Constructive Criticism Thread

I don't really understand why a lot of people are set against a Mustang as Kitt. I think it works well enough, Ford license aside. I understand that the Ford advertisement angle is a turnoff, but other than that, I think the mustang works well enough. The original Kitt was a Trans Am. What if he was...

Re: KI3T and Self-Programming

Self-programming would be the ability to change one's base programming. KI3T is designed to preserve human life and obey Michael Knight. He has to follow these base rules - if he were able to disregard these rules, or augment them, then he would be self-programming. KI3T cannot do this. It's similar...

Re: The Knight Rider 2008 Constructive Criticism Thread

KITT actually had the acronym "KR" on him. Seriously. On the seats, on the underside of the car. Correct if I'm wrong here, because I could be - but I don't recall TOS, outside of the show intro, ever using the term "Knight Rider" in the show. I don't know, this just reeks of ch...

Re: Justin Bruening Interview on the set of ep. 17

The whole KITT vs KARR thing... Bringing him back into the here and now wouldn't really make any sense, no matter how they did it. KARR's CPU is old, the car itself is old....there really isn't a viable way they could do like, a 1-to-1 thing where it's like "oh look, it's KARR from the 80s!&quo...

Re: Does KI3T need a mobile command center?

I know that not many people seemed to be down with the plane idea.....but I'd love it just so one time, KI3T could actually turbo boost INTO the plane. Something like... -------------- KITT: "Michael, I am receiving a transmission from the carrier. However, my sensors indicate that our current ...

Sorry to ressurect an old thread...but I was reading through this. KI2T was super advanced for his time, doing things cars still cant do as of today. Does KI3T need a mobile command center?

I've been thinking about this a bit. In KR 2008, they've currently got the SSC, which is a highly advanced station capable of providing KI3T with repairs and diagnostics. However, KI3T has nanotechnology that repairs any broken or damaged parts....so in the retool of the new series, would KI3T need ...

Uh-oh, doesn't look like you can edit posts here....so sorry for the double post. Another thing, though, why an attack mode? What's the point? KI3T has regenerative nanoskin, and is pretty damn tough. Why does it need an attack mode? I mean, it seems cool, but it doesn't really have a point since (a...

Hey there....I'm the new guy on the block. I heard about Knight Rider a while back but never really watched it, as it was before my time; the 2008 version came out, and after watching a bit of that, I was inspired to watch the old series. I'm a little ways through Season 1 right now and loving it. I...

Knight Rider was before my time. I started to watch the 2008 version because I thought the concept was pretty cool, a...
