I hope he carrries on. I agree with the others who mentioned that KITT was in the pilot (Original series) less human. In fact, he and michael were often at odds until KITT rescued Michael from the jail in the original pilot. I look forward to seeing the new KITT evolve.

I think that when KITT becomes Tracuers buddly like KITT did with MK we will see more of what we want with the car being an equal star to the humans. I too, want the car to what drives the series, not just a talking prop.
