Re: Hot Wheels Elite modifications
Awesome, love the addition of the tow bar! Count me as another one who just doesn't think KITT looks right without one.

Re: Sneak Peek of New Hot Wheels 1/18 KITT!!
Not to get nitpicky, but shouldn't there only be 2 foglights on either side? I know people sometimes put 3 on their full size replicas (for some bizarre reason), but I only remember 2 in the actual show. And another thing that always bugs me about KITT models and diecasts, is that the seats are alwa...

Re: Sneak Peek of New Hot Wheels 1/18 KITT!!
Wow, really loving the cloth interior on this, and there's so many other cool details too. But man.... I really have to agree about that nose. It looks like they just copied the short, stubby nose from the old ERTL model kit (all it's missing is the "Knight 2000" on the front) instead of r...

Re: Knight In Shining Armor? One Word: Terrible
Actually I thought the buildup to the turbo boost, and zooming into the inner workings of KITT, was pretty damn cool and exciting. I just hated how awful it looked once he blasted off into the air. Hell, even the turbo boost out of the trash compactor in one of the original episodes looked more beli...

Re: Knight In Shining Armor? One Word: Terrible
Personally I don't mind them trying to make the show "fun and sexy" at all. I'd MUCH rather they embrace the inherent campiness of the concept (like the original show eventually did) than suck all the fun out of it like the new Bionic Woman did. But even a campy show has to be well made in...

Re: Calling all HATERS
I am 27, two years younger than you, and agree with Sarfraz that the show DID have poor writing. It was a camp 80's tv show and a very fun one at that. I am not insulted by what Sarfraz said, it was a product of it's time which was cheese. Agreed. I love the original show dearly, but other than the...

Re: Official Online Premier Thread (aka Pilot is UP on Amazon!)
I thought it was decent. It's no classic KR, but it was a big step up from the lifeless pilot movie (and lightyears better than TKR). lol The biggest problem for me though is KITT's dull, monotone voice. I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt after the movie, but in this episode you could...

Anyone got the new Aoshima KITT?
Wow, I just noticed there's a new Aoshima model kit out there with the season 3 nose and working scanner. Has anybody here gotten one yet? Considering this is the big Knight Rider site, I'm kinda surprised there aren't a lot more posts about it. I was just wondering what people thought of ...

Wow, now THAT'S what I was hoping for when I originally heard KITT was going to have a transformation effect in the new movie!!! Not that boring ass morphing crap.

Re: i'd like to disagree with GST....(with respect!)
I think people are overanalyzing the hood intakes. Clearly their main purpose is just to make the car look a lot stronger and meaner than it usually appears. Unlike in the movie, where you had to stare at it for a couple seconds to see any difference, this time it will be immediately clear when the ...

Eh, while I'm not crazy about the truck thing, I'm still glad they got a producer who's going to bring some real flash and excitement to the series.
Because the movie to me was about as dull and visually uninteresting as you can get.

Re: Comic Con: Panel Transcript
Hmm, I'm curious what they mean by "their version of Turbo Boost." Obviously I assume we're going to see rockets firing under the car as it launches, but I wonder if anything else is different. Maybe the car will sprout some kind of wings to carry it further in the air? Or maybe the landin...

Re: Video: curtain unveiling of new KITT
I can understand some fans being put off by the "hot rod" look-- and ideally I'd want a sleeker and more futuristic KITT too-- but I have to admit the car they came up with still looks really badass. It actually looks like a real Attack Mode now, and like something that will be exciting to...

I'm pretty positive too. I still don't get the sense this is going to be a very original or well-written show, but at least it looks like it's finally going to be fun and exciting to LOOK at-- which is more than you can say for the lame movie. lol

Re: In defense of the show
If they do go a CG route with it a lot and I mean A LOT of work will have to be put into getting the effect right because a lot CG stunts look terrible in motion, dare I say mechanical and clunky. In this day and age there are still problems with that and they'd have to put a lot of work into getti...

Re: In defense of the show
Maybe, but even with a full series commitment, I seriously doubt we're going to see anything close to the same level of action and stuntwork as the original series. We haven't seen any big action shows like that for awhile, and a big part of that was because they were just expensive as heck to do. E...

Re: In defense of the show
Well I guess it's not a surprise that NBC would go the cheap route with this movie. That definitely explains the lack of stunts and cool features for KITT. :( Unfortunately, I don't know if that really bodes well for the future. Obviously I know the days of big 80s car stunts are long over, but is N...

Keeping it to just plot holes: -- On the campus, how do the Blackriver guys let Sara get away from them just because KITT pulls up? In fact, it almost looks like they push her into the path of the car! I didn't get that scene at all. -- As fast as KITT is, why is the SUV hot on their trail all the w...

Re: Hasselfhoff says "I did it for you"
For the life of me, I can't understand the whole 'KITT can't outrun the SVU" nonsense. Obviously outrunning it wasn't what he was meant to do, was it? Virtually everybody who has commented on the scene has seemed to overlook the fact that K.I.T.T.'s computer was not activated at the time Mike ...

Re: New KITT features that were missed....
What I'm curious about, is that there was a lot of talk about this new KR being inspired by the Transformers movie. So naturally I expected to see some kind of mechanical "transforming" effect used. I admit I wasn't crazy about the idea, but in retrospect it probably would have been cooler...

LOL, I thought the movie was a bit underwhelming too, but only because it was lacking in action and stunts.
This though just sounds like typical fanboy nitpicking because he's bitter they didn't use his beloved KITT. Get a grip dude.

Re: New KITT features that were missed....
Actually I'm glad they didn't use the windshield thing. It looked pretty cheesy and ridiculous in the 1991 movie. As far as features that were missed... how about anything that DIDN'T involve morphing? I mean, it's a nice trick, but it's not exactly something you daydream about having your car do-- ...

Re: Anyone Else?
They have to hold some stuff back for the series, would be pretty boring if when seen all the Knight3000's abilities in one show. Um, I watched the movie a second time just to be sure, and literally the only thing the car does in the ENTIRE movie is morph. We see it morph into other colors and morph...

I really hate the new scanner cause its all Computer Generated.
