Re: The Scanner
I love the new one, think it is so much better than the original. The original was brilliant yes, but brilliant for its time. Today it would look antiquated. And they did use LED's for this new one, they just put more work into it rather than a simple stream of lights, and I think it has paid off am...

Re: opening title sequence
I just re-watched the title sequence from the pilot, and there's no footage in it that wasn't from the pilot, so it's entirely possible they could make it work here just with footage from the new TV movie. But as goldbug just pointed out, most shows don't even have theme songs these days, what with...

Re: Kilmers voice
Hardly fair to compare this to the travesty that was Batman Forever. It wasn't Kilmer's fault they wanted to camp it all up. Clooney is a fantastic actor and look at the piece of rubbish Batman HE was in! I prefer Kilmer as KITT, Arnett sounded too like KARR. He was good, don't get me wrong, but Kil...

Re: opening title sequence
They should keep it for the series, and possibly just do a completely new one. I'd like to see that, otherwise you'll have the usual "not as good as the orignal" comments, no matter how much better it actually is. For the movie it probably won't have one. The original KR pilot did, but the...

Re: New KITT
no-one can deny that the Camaro would have looked better for the part. No, that's your personal opinion. Not fact. So saying no one can deny it is a bit silly. It's not a denial, they went with what they thought was the better car, and I for one completely agree with them, the Camaro doesn't look t...

Re: Can TKR tie-in, in any way possible?
TKR was an atrocious abomination to the original series. Yes they said there's nothing in this movie that will really conflict with the other spin-offs but also that they are not referencing them. It's more of a coincidence that there's nothing to contradict them, if the series goes ahead I think it...

Cool tatto LisaThePooper!! Always wanted a KITT car tat but will probably chicken out until I'm too old to have one  My name is Phil and I'm from the UK too, Northern Ireland. I just turned 30 at Christmas time  and remember Knight Rider from its first run and can't wait for the new seri...

Re: Behind the scenes clips from Access Hollywood
Goosebumps! That's what that scene with The Hoff gave me. Excellent find, ck37. That car sounds great too! And from all the reports of how quickly they've been able to film this (just like they had to do with the presentation of the original pilot of the classic series) and the quality that has been...

I'm surprised no one else has commented on this superb clip yet!! Action, heart, humour. Always what Hasselhoff swore by and it looks like this new series will have it in droves. Happy days indeed! Gonna email Sky and see if they know anything about when it'll reach these shores (they sometimes prin...

Re: Writer's strike has ended!
The most important thing is that this is one less obstacle for the tele-movie to overcome to become a fully-fledged series :D :D But congratulations to the writers, they deserved the result and well done for showing such unity. They were just right to go on strike and I was in full support of them a...

Well I remember in the commentary to the pilot on the DVD sets that Larson did say they had to do work to the Trans Am to make it go as fast as they wanted it to.
I'm LOVING the voice!! Val Kilmer should've been involved from the word go! And I want one of those Mustangs baby!!

Re: what does Knight Rider mean to you?
As a child, Knight Rider was an obsession! It was all about KITT being awesomely powerful and Michael being funny and cool. As an adult, the "one man can make a difference" spine of the show really shines through, maybe not so in season four, but that's what it means to me now. I also have...

Great find. Don't be ashamed, you were doing "research"
Six years he has signed on for! Wow! I hope the series lasts that long and is a huge hit without the steady-decline-in-ratings-as-the-ideas-got-sillier that the original suffered from.

knightstand, mango, absolutely fantastic observations! I never clicked! I wonder if this was a conscious effort on the part of Dave Andron? He does seem to be a huge fan, as does everyone else involved too. And the original series was always referred back to Arthur etc. Oh man, I'm loving all these ...

Re: NBC Knight Rider did right thing
I think that, in today's world. You use seat belts. End of discussion. It's against the law not to, and no amount of explanation would make it OK for them not to use them. Different times, different priorities will affect even a fictional universe. Exactly. The passive laser restraint was an awful ...

Re: NBC Target Ratings Expectations?
It's strange, Buffy was advertised as a smash hit yet it managed relatively low ratings, with about 3 or 4 million. Guess it was high for the network it was on. KR2000, according to The Hoff's book, was never going to be turned into a weekly series. Originally envisioned as three seperate tele-movie...

The Hoff is so passionate about KR, as anyone who has read his book can testify! When I heard a good while ago that he was gonna be in this I knew this movie must be finally the proper sequel we were all looking for.

I think personally I'll be staying away from the forums. As much as it will pain me to do so, I don't want anything spoiled at all until the pilot reaches these shores. Trying to keep all the chatter in the "NBC Knight RIder" forum will be impossible, people are too excited and after all, ...

Thank you darthknight72. The camaro in transformers is not a real 2009 camaro it's a sculpted body on a GTO chassis done be one of the kings of Mustangs Steve Saleen how ironic.
