Re: Episode #1-3 title and spoilers

yeah in Speed demons he used High Traction Drop downs (HTDD). Im not sure wheter he used em in any other episodes. (im still at season3's Bad Apples) The HTDDs were one of KITT's many one-use-only functions. They addressed the traction again in Season 4's "Hills of Fire" with Traction Spi...

Re: All Knight Rider Car Show At Saugus Speedway.

You know for people who like all things Knight Rider and being shown something they haven't seen before, I thought there would be more enthusiasm, let alone interaction with an announcement like this. Oh well. Sadly, I'm on the wrong coast to participate in this event. I hope there'll be lots of gr...

Re: POLL: KITT's Voice Box

I voted for a diffused light version of the three-bar system. It would keep the "face" of KITT that folks are familiar with, but it would be keeping up with modern tech. Perhaps if KITT got damaged they could switch to something that looks more like the old design where you could see the i...

Re: Return for an announcement from Knight Industries on July 25

The only Shelby "King of the Road" logo I've been able to turn up so far is this: http://www.nextcar.com.au/i.ford.shelby.GT500KR.logo.08may.jpg What's on the NBC site is similar but not the same. It looks like someone from the advertising department is trying to push the Ford connection, ...

Re: Return for an announcement from Knight Industries on July 25

I do think it's unfair to compare this to the JJ Abrams project - that would be more fair for the Glen Larson movie where it is a complete restart. I wasn't comparing the projects themselves so much as the reactions both groups of fans are having when presented with scant information. There are peo...

Re: KITT SPM on Ebay!

Looking at the photo gallery over at AutoBlog, it looks like whoever made this put in a half-decent effort, but there's so many inaccuracies that it can't be considered either an authentic car from the show or even a good fan attempt. (Compared to a lot of the cars that are on display over at Knight...

Re: Return for an announcement from Knight Industries on July 25

Seriously, if the show has as much whoring for Ford as the pilot did I'll drop it and any NBC/Universal program on their channels without a second thought. Times might have changed, but it doesn't mean they have to lose the art of being subtle or clever with product placement and tea bag us with it...

Re: Return for an announcement from Knight Industries on July 25

I agree with Stylez assesment, save the "comic book guy attitude" for the movie spoiler forums and trekkie boards where crying out "first!" to every new thread that pops up is a matter of urgency. I've never posted on a board where people felt compelled to cry out "first&qu...

Re: Return for an announcement from Knight Industries on July 25

I think you have offended us a little with your first comment JL. You are making assumptions about us based on one thread. Actually I think this thread is rather uncharacteristic of us. We all want this show to succeed so much that we might freak out from time to time. Welcome back to KRO, I think ...

Re: Am Somethign I Just Realized About Kr

It really did work to the show's advantage to have Michael Long be as alone (in a family sense) as he was. The old "long lost relative shows up" plot is pretty worn out unless done well, and you know they either would have been totally annoying or ended up as that week's damsel in distress...

It's definitely not the real SPM KITT. I can't remember if it's been mentioned here in the past, but does anyone know what happened to the real ones used on the show?

Re: Will an actors strike affect KR?

DigitalSpy reported yesterday that SAG has instructed its members to keep reporting for work and auditioning for new work despite the contract having expired. Doesn't exactly sound like a solid first step forward in organizing a work stoppage. More likely, these claims of Hollywood being shut down a...

Re: Return for an announcement from Knight Industries on July 25

Then don't watch. Is NBC holding a shotgun to your head? God, why do people keep forgetting that they're free to change the channel? Besides, even with all its problems, the pilot was nowhere in the same league of awfulness as KR2010. That's a circle of Hell reserved for "Voo Doo Knight," ...

Re: Based On Characters Created By David Andron?

There's a third way they could do it, which was done on Star Trek with the post-Roddenberry shows: Right after the show's name, there would be a credit "Based on STAR TREK created by Gene Roddenberry." Then at the end there'd be a separate credit for the new show reading "Created by R...

Wow... I thought that Trekkies had the market cornered on hysterical overreactions to what is ultimately Just A TV Show, but you guys are giving them a run for their money here. 1. Re: opening title sequence

I just re-watched the title sequence from the pilot, and there's no footage in it that wasn't from the pilot, so it's entirely possible they could make it work here just with footage from the new TV movie. But as goldbug just pointed out, most shows don't even have theme songs these days, what with ...

The car needs to be something that's mass produced so they can (hopefully) do real stunts with it (one of the things missing from KR2K). The Mustang really is the only option right now. The new Camaro won't be out until 2009, and there's still no word on whether they'll make a Firebird version. So w...

If Pontiac doesn't make their own version of the new Camaro, and this film ever gets off the ground, I hope the producers go with that car, because it's got the right look for KITT. That's a big "if," of course. I agree with you on the reboot, Sarfraz; it worked for Batman and Bond, and wi...
