Re: Best Scene in the new KR Film!

That was a great scene because it captured the awe and amazement of a person in the KR universe to a Knight Industries vehcile speeding by. The car is not taken for granted as simply another Ford, but rather something incredibly special. We get to be that trucker and live as a person in that univers...

Re: Knight License Plate For The New Series

It has always made me wonder that why in the world of Knight Rider did know one know who Wilton Knight was? If he was one of the richest men around, wouldn't having a plate that read "KNIGHT" be like having one that read "GATES", "TRUMP", or "FORBES"? Yet in t...

Re: NBC Airs 15 second teaser

I don't know why they used an old fashioned gage dash board for a version of KITT 25 years removed from the original. If they actually go with that dash, my only guess to their reasoning would be that they may think that today's teenagers would think a tricked out super fancy digital dashboard too c...

Re: Plot Hole: M. Long's T/A vs. KARR

The real world problem here is that the writers just didn't care or simply paid very little attention to the series continuity. Things were regularly forgotten about in the next weeks episode, there were no season long story arcs in most of the action-adventure shows of the 80s. I believe the origin...

Re: Why does Knight Rider get so many chances?

Don't forget the Highlander franchise guys, it's come back from the dead many times with an endless supply of crappy sequels. For KR, I believe it is because the formula for Knight Rider , a man and a cool car, is very simple and works easily with many ages. People that are 60 can become enthralled ...

Was KITT supposed to be Michael Long's refitted car?

Hi. I am sure this topic has been discussed before, but I would like to bring it up again and gain everyone's perspective on this. In the Pilot episode, police officer Michael Long drives a black Pontiac Trans Am, then later the car the newly christined Michael Knight gets is a black Pontiac Trans A...

Do you think Michael Long was a ladies man?

Michael Knight, with the new handsome face he recieved from Wilton Knight is a known stud on the series. But what about Michael Long? The actor who played Michael Long had curly hair, but he didn't seem as outrageously handsome as David Hasselhoff. So it always makes me wonder if Long/Knight took fu...

The physical fights in Knight Rider, whether old fashion fist brawls or the often made up karate, were absolutely HILARIOUS. It was some of the best unintentional comedy in the history of televsion. My favorite was Hasselhoff's round house kick or that jumping high kick he did. What if you saw someo...

Re: GLEN A. LARSON vs. STEPHEN J. CANNELL

HI EVERYONE, I JUST WANTED AN OPINION OF SOME FOLKS, WHO WAS THE BETTER TELEVISION PRODUCER/CREATOR GLEN A. LARSON OR STEPHEN J. CANNELL. EVEN THOUGH I AM A MAJOR KNIGHT RIDER FAN, I THINK THAT STEPHEN J. CANNELL HAD THE BETTER SHOWS. GLEN LARSON'S SHOWS WERE BASED REALLY MORE ON FANTASY BUT SOMEWH...

I don't know, I always liked these things that people find "annoying" in Knight Rider. It all added to the unintentional hilarity of the whole show.

I never liked the scene where the truckers wanted to beat up on Michael and then he tells them he's "heavily trained in martial arts". Then they do a total cop out and don't show any fighting, but instead just have shots of the bad guys thrown around and out of the bar with some karate &qu...

^Well to me, swamps or urban, the car stunts on DoH seemed pretty real most of the time. KR's car stunts nearly always came across as phony, with model cars used a little too much.

What is DoH about? Well it was another car themed show from the 80's, aired on CBS, it came out before KR and during the early and mid 80's it was KR's chief rival. This is another one of those shows from the 80's that will bring a nostalgic smile to the face of any Gen Xer born in the 1970's. It w...

Do you remember when KR was on in the 80's?

I'm just wondering how many people here actually remember when Knight Rider was originally on NBC back in the 80's during it's 1982 to 1986 run? I was looking through people's ages here, and I feel like such an old man by seeing the ages and birth years of some of the kids around here. Kids born in ...

Even without it being explained here, I kind of suspected what went on behind the scenes just by looking at Patrcia McPherson and Rebbeca Holden. Rebbeca Holden clearly has more of a "hot babe" factor to her, and that's why I figured NBC had her come in and replace McPherson. I mean the 2n...

It's bad continuity, basically. There's no real way to explain it. KI Definately. This is all just terrible continuity. In the pilot episode, there isn't even a mention of a Cameron Zachary or him ordering a hit on Michael Long. Tanya killed him out in the desert just to cover her own rear end. Whe...

Knight Rider was a youth oriented show.

I was talking to a guy at work this morning about this topic and he put it rather well I thought. Back in the 80’s the leather jacket, the big cowboy belt buckle; the open shirt…was all very cool. People watching it these days for the first time would have a different perspective because the whole ...
