Re: Live Discussion - Knight and the City
Agreed. This new incarnation of Knight RIder is clearly made by people who didn't pay much attention to the original series. They blew it by not involving Hasselhoff and Larson and it's a shame because the episodes are full of missed opportunites to further the franchise. Overall the last few episod...

Re: Live Discussion - Knight and the City
This is the first episode that kept me from flipping the channel. They are getting a better sense of pacing and dropping a lot (though not enough of) the pointless bits of tired dialogue. I am not sure why Mike and KITT were running from the SUVs (they should've just finished them off), but the turb...

Re: Live Discussion - Exit Light, Enter Knight
What happened to the infamous comlink or the earpiece thingy Michael is supposed to have...? why does he text with KITT...? An' why do I feel like the Knight 2000 needs to push the Knight 3000 into the crusher...? It is more in line with TOS than anything previously and I guess we should accept that...

Re: Live Discussion - Exit Light, Enter Knight
This episode is definitely moving in the right direction in a lot of ways. The thing that truly rocked me (besides its very un-Knight Rider-like anticlimactic ending), was that after the episode was over my 3 year old son asked to see what he alarmingly referred to as "the good Knight Rider&quo...

Re: Do you think Kitt looks better in normal mode?
"Normal" KITT is always best. In the original series and this gawd-awful trainwreck the "super" KITT looks laughable. If they wanted to do menacing they should've taken a look at the modifed Gazelle helicopter that starred in "Blue Thunder" and used that for inspiration...

Re: The Knight Rider 2008 Constructive Criticism Thread
As a lifelong Knight Rider fan I want to like this new version of the series, but it just doesn't stand up to the original and it just isn't that good of a show on it's own merits. I am glad there are people who enjoy it, but the reality is that they are in the minority-the ratings speak volumes to ...

Re: The Reboot- I think it is too late
It may not be too late, but what boggles my mind is why they went in the direction that they did initially. Michael and KITT may have gone against some kind of terrorist like characters in the original, but generally it was like the modern equivalent of the Superman TV series with George Reeves-good...

Re: How did WD get his voice high pitched for KITT?
If you have ever seen re-runs of St. Elsewhere or Boy Meets World you will notice that that is his natural speaking voice. No effects needed.

Re: Episode 1: What you didn't like
Overall it was barely average, but I am hoping the writers will try harder in the following episodes. There was too much unnecessary dialogue (dorky dialogue at that) and way too many unlikable characters (including the hot Asian woman). It was starting to look like Star Trek The Next Generation ins...

Re: What did you think of the Turbo Boost?
Drop the "KR" on the bottom of the car and definitely drop the "Fast and Furious" style through the engine effect. It wasn't really that great in "F & F", but a shorter, better edited version might work here. Otherwise they did it just fine. One question: does the u...

Re: Knight 3000 a step down?
Let's cut to the edit... This new car hasn't proven itself to be any better than our trusty Trans Am. But let's face it. The orignal Knight Rider has pretty much covered all of the technology that this show is describing. A complete remake would have actually been better because the writers would've...

Re: did you like the nbc kr movie??
They definitely did themselves a favor by nodding (albeit occasionally) to the original series. There is an obvious disdain for the old series that the people involved (actors aside) have displayed that comes out in the finished product and in some of the media materials from the magazines and websi...
